Now that Miss Pale is in Cincinnati she rubs elbows with all the locals. Cut her a little slack. She drank a little to much cheap wine at the Kwanzaa party the other night.

Do you think that was a riddle? Actually, you don't have a clue do you? That is why it was written. Something written, you had no clue about.

The house had passed 3 proposals, 2 of them had Dem votes. Congress sent each of the proposed bills to the Senate to Harry Ried who won't even let them be voted on. What's with that?

[By] minimal standards, this Congress is failing. More specifically, the Republican leaders of the House of Representatives are failing. They should fulfill their basic duties to the American people or make way for legislators who will.

We don't come to that view as rabid partisans. On many of the issues stalemating Washington, we find plenty of blame to go around. We've criticized President Obama's reluctance to pursue entitlement reform. The last time the country reached the debt ceiling, we urged both sides to compromise on revenue and spending in the interest of long-term fiscal soundness.

This time, fiscal responsibility isn't even a topic. Instead, Republicans have shut much of the government in what they had to know was a doomed effort to derail the Affordable Care Act.... Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Budget Committee chairman and former vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan and their colleagues may be in a difficult political position. Honestly, we don't much care. They need to reopen the government and let it pay its bills.

Jay Rosen called it a "remarkable editorial," paraphrasing the Post's editors: "We'd like to blame both sides. We tried. We've blamed both sides before. But in this case..."

Shutting down the Government for a Tea PArty hissy fit, shame on you Ohio, really, we're supposed to be the most sophisticated country on the planet and we get stunts, gimmicks, games and a marketing campaign!

There's ONE quaranteed to pass the house, it's the clean one!!!!

All 3 that passed the house, were ransom notes. Extortion attempts. Sorry, you don't get to pick laws apart cause you don't like them.

20% of the country, Tea PArty specifically, want a shut down no matter what but, they'll accept taking a law apart, 20%!

What is Dems said OK fine, we'll keep the Government open but only if Congress passes BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR ALL GUN PURCHASES! A law more than 90% of this country wants!!

PAss the clean CR, shut your ignorant childish traps and move on!!

And Ted Cruz, but that's their chosen issue people, Boehner can bring the clean bill to the house for a vote and he's the only one who can do that.

You've been watching to much msnbc.

A bill was voted on in the senate.

It failed by a vote of 54 to 46, with five Democrats voting against it. Only four Republicans supported it.
Democratic Sens. Mark Pryor (Ark.), Max Baucus (Mont.), Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.), Mark Begich (Alaska) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.) voted against it. Reid supported the measure but voted against it.

The dems don't want to make any concessions. So their the ones who is keeping the government shut down.

No matter which side of the aisle you are on, you MUST admit that the House is responsible for the budget...PERIOD.
IF their budget includes or excludes one of your personal issues, they may still be doing their job.
Excuse me if you disagree but the FEDERAL government IS NOT my Nanny!!
The Constitution limits the power of the Federal Government. It does NOT give the Feds a blank check. In fact it is just the opposite

Then why did Republicans demand a Budget from the Senate when they didn't get one? They were right to demand it.

And you're wrong.

Senate puts one out
House puts one out
BOTH go to Committee to compromise and generate the final Budget, THAT'S how it's supposed to work.

The Senate put out it's version SIX months ago, House refuses to go to Committee.

Also, the Budget has ZERO connection to the ACA, zero, so, the House is holding the country hostage on a budgetary CR to extort a change in a law that is not part of said budget.

It's astonishing this has to be told to you people, really, extortion, ransom, all these things are unacceptable to any real American.

Only the nihilist of the most extreme believe this is OK for a US party to be practicing.

It's shameful and disgusting and it's too bad you people don't understand that!!

Passionate aren't you? The House has the purse.
And FYI, there hasn't been a budget since April '09.
There are NO Hostages! That's clearly exaggeration & hyperbole.
then there's how the Affordable Care Act was past with NO transparency or internet exposure that Obama had promised he would do with EVERY bill. There was also no cross party discussions, it was ALL 1 party. Next, the Repubs are NOT trying to stop the Affordable Care Act at this time. They have proposed a 1 yr delay in writing like King Obama has already given unilaterally his self even tho he is breaking the law to do so.
NOW go have your tantrum because you can't see straight.
