The only thing that is going to happen if Price chopper goes Union is that they are going to land up like P&C. The prices are high now and they will have to raise them even more to pay for the higher wages. So then our unemployment is going to be up once again in St. Lawrence County and surrounding areas. The only people that make money on a union are the Union heads, it's not the workers. Trust me, I worked for P&C and I didn't get shit out of the union except for them taking a bunch of my money for union dues. They suck if you are a part time employee, you pay the dues but get crap in return. So, smarten up EMPLOYEES of PRICE CHOPPER, don't do it! Be grateful for what you got now, you may not have it in 8 years.

Union money finances political machines, gangsters and executive bonuses. Price Chopper should send a strong message and close the doors in protest. The few greedy people stirring up trouble should be forced out. Let them go work in a union shop somewhere else.

Price Chopper prices are higher than P&Cs were and they had a union and paid employees more. They also had free medical. The place that is greedy is Price Chopper.

This is what Price Chopper gets for hiring ex P&C employees. A slap in the face. Be happy with what you have because things could be a lot worse. If you don't like it, move because there are plenty of able bodied people that would be very happy to have a job at Price Chopper without being in an organized labor union.

Hey drippy draws: They only kept on 4 or 5 from each store part time at that! Do your home work before opening your mouth dipshit! If 4 or 5 can talk everyone else into a union they must be brain dead to begin with!

The 4 or 5 aren't having much luck are they? It doesn't matter if there is only 1. They knew when they started that Price Chopper was a non union company. You must be one of the employees fighting for them to unionize. I can't really see where the quality of workers are any better between the two. I go to Price Chopper on a regular basis and it's great just the way it is. I would hate to have to pay more for groceries to pay someones union benefits. Any other smart remarks?

If you really are "in the know" you would know the grocery business in an industry. Grocers know they will not get every item sold that a customer wants. This is why they have sales. The customer has to be conscious of the sales and frequent all the grocers in their area to support "the industry" so all of them continue to stay in business. Me the customer could care less about the workers in a manner of speaking. We go there for groceries at a fair price. Price Chopper has great deals on meat. Walmart is out of sight on meat. What's the hype on Angus Beef? People out west have been eating it forever but here, it's at a premium ,and why? Only because of the "buzz word" and marketing. Even the meat man at my local walmart won't buy meat there. Price Chopper has very similar deals as P&C... 10/$10 deals all over the store. Unfortunately what is good in other places with massive populations is not necessarily good with populations of around 10k per village.

Let me tell you this! most all full time employees were brought in from their other stores to take the jobs of the full timers! The people who made a living and supported a family IN THIS TOWN!!! Now they are unemployed and the person who comes here to work takes his or her paycheck home to spend it where they are from, don't benifit this town at all! money is not spent here it goes! Who wins here you tell me! past employees didn't care about the union , they just wanted a job! Lastly what about the low prices ! Even the customers lose! This is my last posting on this, so knock youself out! throw out some more CRAP
