Veolia starts its own investigation into cause of explosion
Veolia Environmental Services' safety director, Mike Richter, is on his way to West Carrollton to begin investigating what caused the midnight explosion at the company's Infirmary Road solvents recovery site, a company spokesman said this afternoon, May 4. I heard the blast that shook my darkened bedroom window as I lay abed, soon hearing the distant sounds of sirens from cop cars and fire trucks. I was too tired and lazy to be excited or get out of bed, deciding to wait for 1290 AM radio news instead, soon snoring, until it awakened me the following morning.
