The court has upheld the people's decision. Finally, the court hasn't put their agenda ahead of the people's voice!

Not a Chance, does 52% count a overwhelming victory, because either next year or 2012, Prop 8 will be repelled

Mr. Fruitcake, morons like you perpetuate every single thing that people hate about the IE. In a just world, you would never procreate but I bet you have yourself a number of charming fatties that bear your tragic DNA.

You already have equality... You can marry a person from the opposite sex just like me... I can't marry a person of the same sex, just like you... See? Equal.

And people like "Shadow Dragon" perpetuate everything that is wrong with homosexuality. "Burn churches"??? There's someone I'm sure society wants to welcome with open arms...

My fault, I wrote "Shadow Dragon" when I should have written "Daniel from Long Island" instead.

So when some stupid heterosexual calls for the death of all homosexuals can we say that all heterosexuals are stupid murderers?

Geeeeesh stereotypes.....LOL

One ?: without running over to Fox News, how many times can you name that a gay person was convicted of "burning churches", or similar? Are you familiar with the concept of gay bashing? Violence against gays that occurs so often and violently that it has its very own name?
Our good friend Wikipedia helps: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay_bashing

Not to condone the very mention of such violence, but if people took out their ignorance, fear and, in many cases, self-loathing out on you, it wouldn't be surprising if your thoughts turned to such things.
I'm sure your church can give you much better examples to illustrate "everything that is wrong with homosexuality". Let's get out our bibles!

It's not about equal. In your case, it's about being odd and strange. Straight and gay don't measure out the same...therefore...NOT EQUAL. Get it? The California Supreme Court did.

Exactly! So point your concerns over to 4RnrJJ. He's the one who stereotyped the whole IE. That was my point...

Does that also count for arresting the gay priests that sexually abuse young choir boys?

Excellent work, One Question!

I DID stereotype the entire IE. I grew up there and, while there were pockets of hope, I never went too long without meeting people who encouraged their kids to use words like "faggot", "fruitcake" and the like. Sometimes I miss it, but then I come across stuff like this and think to myself, "oh, yeah".
However, I'm not about to support ANY LEGISLATION that defines or strips the rights of people who live there.
Bonus points if you can identify the difference.

Two things:

1) There weren't any rights stripped away... Bonus points if you can point out the "rights"

2) The IE is the only place that feels this way about homosexual marriages? You mean, the IE did this all by themselves? Pretty powerful place, huh?
