I loved going to Nashville when I was a kid. It was so full of unique character.
Having been out of state for many years, I revisited Nashville upon my return and was dismayed to find that it had become tacky and generic, with shops selling crappy Chinese junk that has nothing to do with the Nashville/Brown County themes. Tackle that problem, and get Nashville back to the good ol' days.
Casino's lure concerns Brown County

Gary, right you are. Greed is driving shops out, and the cheap trinket peddlers are in. No self respecting local even wants to drive through Nashville anymore. All the worry about casinos, are baseless. Different crowds, different reasons. Nashville can save itself, and is moving that way with the 'take it downtown' car shows. Its survival is dependant of the "high and mighty mystical all knowing town council', and the easing of their fairly stupid rules. Get law enforcement that arent jokes, and start thinking about the locals some, thats the ticket.

Something should be done about per capita income for Brown Co. It has no industial base. The rustic Nashville/Brown County themes were a product of the times, of an economy and way of life that no longer exists. As long as we seek that which was, we will be disappointed with that which is.
