trouble getting people to the remote location...I've got an idea, put the dang thing in a river instead of a retention pond!

I'm happy that someone has invested in the area. It's not a quick drive from most places, but isn't that part of the allure--to get away from it all and relax for a while? I definately plan on visiting for a weekend!

We happen to own a place about 4 miles out of French Lick.` We have owned it about 12 years now. The French Lick area is really a repressed area. I am not sure I like the gambling to have to be the thing to get it up and going.
Lots of people come in the summer just because of the name. I know this area needs help. I am afraid the people that should NOT be gambling will be the ones that do. There is deep unemployment and lots of people living on disability there. Many barely make it.. I relize that people live their own lives but it is sad to see something like this dangled in their faces.

In the 12 years we have been going to French Lick there has not been many new businesses opening up. I am sure some will do so now. I certainly wish all of them well in doing so. It is hard work and takes time to get established. I will check them out..

The couple in the article that plans to rent out their place for $200.00 a night. I sure wish you luck. I will be surprised if this works down there. I truly hope your dream comes true.. For us, we don't plan on renting out our place anytime soon. We will probably have more company then we want. I can see us having to sneak down to get the peace and quiet we now have..

I wish the best for the French Lick area. I hope this is just what the area needs to get it going. With time and lots of hard work it will come to pass.

We are looking forward to going down to French Lick. We will be going down in two weeks and again at Christmas. Our entire family will be spending Christmas there. There will be at least 25 there. What an exciting time. We wish the very best for French Lick.

Well if beauty and elegance and grace have anything to do with attracting visitors to the French Lick Springs Resort, then the grand old hotel will have lots of company. I just returned from an open house for Orange County residents and the place is gorgeous.

I think it would be great if they restored rail service to the area. There ins't a major airport near by to fly into. If the casino ran trains from Indy, or even Lousiville and Chicago as weekend packages, take the train in on Friday evening, and take a train home on Sunday night, they could possible bring in more people for weekend fun.

I'm coming to the resort and spa. I have no iterest in the casino. I want to make this an annual trip...it reminds me of the Adirondacks but much more affordable and easier to get to.
