Actually Peachis,the people living under the bridges and the huge amount of sex offenders housed in the town and the large amount of short stay motels,and the openly operating brothels in the industrial areas ARE THE SIGNS OF A TOWN IN DECLINE.
A brightly lit,clean,friendly store,with discreet window displays and a well maintained storefront is really just a business that pays taxes.

but bthe following definately is not...

recently btw as an employee of the store i was able to call the fire department to report another local business on fire one evening,i gave two elderly people directions to a local hospital where they were going for treatment since they were lost and quite upset and i comforted and calmed a local youth whom i found wandering rather incoherently down the block until the police could come collect her and get her some help....

but yeah...we're the bad guys.
