I've been a few times, it's very bright and tables seemed to be geared towards larger groups. I've heard a lot of people have a great time and love it there though.

I transfered to Wentzville a few months ago and have tried all three places and some others, although I like all three I would say that Maggie Malone's is my favorite. Feels like a hometown pub, customers are friendly and so is the staff.

Are they local bands? Do the same bands play every week or do they book different ones all the time?

I dont understand why they charge a cover for a band when the band is the only reason people go there. The bar makes bank with a band yet people will try and say its to pay the band... I say bs! Its just another way to stiff the customer which is why I will never go back.

Tjp,you are misinformed on the "bank" that bars make when providing live music, and the cover charge for that matter. Live music is a huge expense, bands cost anywhere from $500-$2000 for a four hour show, this does not include the cost for sound equipment, sound guy, etc. and that's just the beginning, there is also the music licensing fees that is paid to the city, as well as the huge expense to ASCAP, SESAC, and BMI, which is roughly $4000 a year. I can assure you that door money brought in doesn't cover half of what the band cost, much less touch the cost of having live entertainment. We chose to provide live music from talented musicians, just like you have your choice of which bar you chose to patronize. It frustrating to have someone leave negative comments when they have not the slightest idea.
