i agree with the worry about the gaming bldgs-there are 2 now. seems as long as they call them skill games they get by with it. i stopped in during the festival with some kids that thought it was an arcade-which the sign clearly said-a voice came from the back and told me that it was not an arcade. the place was pitch black with only light coming from the slot machines and heavy smoke smell. about the mex rest-was sad to see it go-any business is better than none at all-just surprised that they were allowed to paint it such a bright yellow. and now another bar is in place of heros-seems all this town has to offer-bars and 2nd hand stores that deal in stolen goods. SO ANY WORD ON THE PROB SWEEP?

Meigs County fugitive nabbed at Wellston home
Officers arrest 3 others, find drugs
Monday, December 03, 2012
A anonymous tip turned out to be a very productive one last Saturday night, December 1, for the Wellston Police Department.
Not only was a female fugitive from Meigs County captured in the search of a Wellston residence, but three local residents were also arrested and illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were also found and confiscated, according to Wellston Police Chief Tim Ackley.
It all started at 9:02 p.m. Saturday when the Wellston Police Department received an anonymous telephone call revealing that a wanted fugitive from Meigs County, 22-year-old Courtney Dailey, was at a Wellston residence at 508 East 6th Street.
Wellston Police confirmed with the Meigs County Sheriff's Office that Dailey was wanted on a felony warrant for burglary and also learned that residents at that address were on probation through the Jackson County Municipal Court.
At 9:36 p.m., Wellston Police officers, joined by representatives of the court's probation department and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, converged on the 6th Street residence.
Officers gained entry into the residence, located Dailey and took her into custody. In their subsequent search, officers also found illegal narcotics along with drug paraphernalia.
Wellston officers arrested 29-year-old Scott A. Kight of Wellston, 26-year-old Jeffrey N. Kight of Wellston and 32-year-old Christina M. Phillips of Wellston.
All four were persons were incarcerated and Police Chief Tim Ackley says felony-level charge are expected to be filed following a review of the case by Jackson County Prosecutor Jack Detty.
