Anyone familiar with the Pleasant Hollow subdivision, which is off Shackleford Road (past Humes going toward Halls Ferry). Your thoughts, please. Is this in Florissant, or Unincorporated SLC?

Someone told me it was a lot of kids running around loose especially around MilValley street. Was looking at those condos on the corner of Shackelford and Central Parkway, or Central Parkay from Shakleford down to Kingsford ( past the park). Thanks

Which part is hoodish? The Plesant Hollow area, or the Flamingo Park area, or both? Thanks!

Alana Sheniqua is obviously some white person from O'Fallon trying to be funny. If the name Sheniqua wasnt obvious enough, the language certainly is.

we moved from thurr about 2 yers ago. I mean the condos next to the hollow. girl you can do better over here. we moved in to a white neiborhood and they love us here. they treat us like famely. its a nice mobil home park and we got a deal on a trailer that some old white dude had passed away and all. its all good in the ofallon hood. leave that place and come to the lands of milk and hony. we havnt had no problems with the white people here. and our city leader is related to you mayor. he is a nice man who cares about people out here whites and blacks. dont waste your money thurr girl. come out here and live and youl be glad you did.

Ignore Sheniqua, I doubt this person is even in Florissant, and I doubt they are even black as Obviously said.
The subdivision itself has a lot of younger people in it, by younger I mean teen agers. Its a nice area, I have friends that live back there. The only complaint I have heard from them is regarding the common ground behind their house. Kids are always walking back there...not quietly at times. Hope that info helps. I couldnt tell you for sure if thats in florissant or unincorporated stl county. I thought it was Florissant but I could be wrong. My wife and I even looked at a house back there a few years back. It was a nice little area. I dont know anything at all about the condos though.

Its unincorporated and not part of the imperial city of flomo although the emperor wishes to extend his beneficent rule to its people who cry out with one voice for union with the empire!!

Our Jeddai knights in blue may be less than enthusiastic about it however.

Yah, I can see that. I talked to one of my coworkers who has a parent living back there. She said its not great but its not bad. A lot of teenagers, so thats one factor that seems to be apparent.
It funny how different neighborhoods are. You get one pocket thats really nice and quiet, and another one not too far away thats really awful. My parents said that about Castle Point. The subdivisions around it were pretty nice, but take a turn off Chambers onto Duke or Princess and you need a bullet proof vehicle. Obviously most of those neighborhoods back there now are scary, but I still think CastlePoint takes the lead in freaky scary. I can drive through most of that area and not be afraid, but I will not go back in those streets of Castle Point. I did once about six months ago to see my grandma's old house. Got chased out of there by a large group of teens throwing stuff at my truck. I called the police, they just told me to keep driving, lock my doors and let them be. Nice huh.(this was NOT the Florissant police, obviously. Some people will assume thats who I meant, so I will repeat. This was NOT the Florissant police dept. I called)

I know this is getting off topic. But my dad ran the 7-Eleven off of Chambers Rd across from Castle Point from the 70's until about 2001. I worked there awhile for him. We could write a book about some of the things that happened around that area.

yeah castle point is pretty bad (ive heard its always been that way even back in the 70's), but the surrounding areas are still ok i have an aunt who lives in bellefontaine neighbors and her neighbor is still pretty nice and looks just like neighborhoods in most of florissant.

You guys are like Jeddai knights in blue.

Maybe you guys could get equipped with light sabers. You could have little mascots like the Wookie and R2 D2.

Know something? It would be neat to have some sort of a dance or benefit for you guys every year.

We could call it the Jeddai Knights in Blue Ball or perhaps 'Night of the Jeddai Knights" or maybe Knights in blue in the beautiful city?

Like they have "Guns and Hoses' we could have "light Sabers and phasers"

What thinkest thoum Amico mio?

Thanks for the info.

Regarding Bellefontaine Neighbors. I know someone staying there. They said though that the better part was across 367 going toward Bellefontaine Road. Also there are some subdivisions one is on Collonaide Meadows, and the other somewhere down Redmond road going toward Bellefontaine Road, was pretty ok. This was off topic but thought I'd mention that.

Thanks for the Pleaseant Hollow info. A friend of mine said she drove back through there past Shakelford, and saw a street where the people had a pitbull or two out in front of the house. Pitbulls in the neighborhood and especially on the front to me is not a good thing, especially with children.

Not all pit bulls are bad,it depends on how they are raised.

I/we lived in PH for 16+ years, had to move out because of job relocation to KC. 1st I'll tell you y'all need to move to KC, but if you insist on staying on that side of the state - PH is a nice subdivision as long as you use your head and be aware of your surroundings and get to KNOW your neighbors, not lip service to them but know them. There are some beautiful folk there and we miss them very much.
