"Parenting Wisely" Workshop Series
The "Parenting Wisely" Workshop Series, presented in partnership with Willsboro Central School District, The Smith House and Samaritan Family Counseling Center, will hold its first session on Wednesday, Feb. 6, in Willsboro Central School Library from 7 to 8 p.m. Based on a nationally recognized, researched-based model, the parenting education program is being offered for eight weeks. "Parenting Wisely" will help to confirm some of what moms and dads are already doing right and afford them an opportunity to learn how to better manage those issues children present that never seem to quite get resolved. It will teach new techniques, reduce some of the struggles and help parents to create more "win-win" situations. This is a very "hands-on" approach with hand-outs and information to use for future reference.
Presenters are: Susan Skinner and John J. Haverlick, LCSWR, both Samaritan staff.
Refreshments will be served. Child care will be provided that evening.

If Ticonderoga did offer this type of workshop, how many parents would voluntarily attend?
