Does it really matter if a company moves in without paying taxes for 10 years? Look at the overall picture, they will provide much needed jobs for the local people. In return this would help your local community when their employees are able to spend their paychecks at local business. How many of your local people are driving to Hagerstown, or Baltimore just to find a decent job? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. Apparently Mr. Howsare is the only county commissioner truly concerned with the future of the area.

Manufacturing is dead in America. I think the commissioners realize this. Build another old folks home, Bedford County needs another one, lol. On a serious note, the commissioners better start earning their votes and DO something other than screw with everyone's property tax. I haven't seen the latest county unemployment rate, but it's gotta be upwards of 15%. I think it's time to STOP turning companies away, and find a way to attract high paying jobs (because everyone is going to need a high paying job to afford their property tax in the coming years).

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Aries

There is a strong focus on career and parental matters today. You need to be cautious regarding your dealings with someone in authority - things may not be what they seem. This is also a good day to spend time with your partner. Communication in general should prove to be smoother sailing than usual so this would be an opportune time to discuss delicate matters with others. Good news in the evening is indicated.
