I have a question for "just someone" What exactly do you mean by "for all the people working out there"? If you mean mexicans than say it. Arkansas is going to have to wake up and see that they are here, they aren't going anywhere, and get over it. Get to know some of them, you may like em. People says, "well I seen these at the club and they was tryin to hit on me..." Well duh! You are at a club. What do you expect. Lol. Anyways, just saying, it doesn't hurt their feelings when you call em Mexicans. Believe me. Welcome to the future. Everybody get along regardless of your skin color, religion, or whatever. But no, that isn't why the factory closed, hon.

If you want the truth, and sometimes it hurts, then read on.Im from McCrory, went to school there, grew up there. I moved away after school and started working as an engineer in the plastics world. This position carried me all over the world for the last 25 years. In that 25 years the number 1 and most meaningful thing I learned was this. The American people are the most lazy, spoiled, and self centered people I have worked with in the entire world. Im an American and proud of it, but we forgot what it took to build a country. We have became a country setting around waiting for someone to give it to us or do it for us. All i can tell ya is if you want it go get it, if you dont then another country of people will.

I totally agree with you. It is the sad truth that people here are too lazy. They expect the government to pay their way. And the mexicans are hard working, and they will do jobs that people here in the U.S. won't do. As for us always referring to ourselves as "Americans" a mexican will tell you that he too, is an "American". Mexico is in AMERICA. It is upsetting sometimes to deal with the racism here in our country. Why can't we all just get along? As for only two of them over there, yes, at the end there were only two of them. However; there were more when they first opened. And they didn't give up their jobs voluntarily. They were forced to quit. Most of them are good people that are only here trying to make money to support their families the best that they can, just like the rest of us. I will admit that I have met good and bad, but there are good and bad in all races, not just one. Mr. Bill the strawberry man made it clear to me one day that WE are lazy, and I was a good enough person to laugh it off. I asked him for a job, just joking around, because of my love for berries, and he said that I knew as well as him that I didn't want to bend over and pick berries all day, and he was right. I have done many jobs already in my life, but as for bending over, I have back problems, and cannot do that for too long. That just goes to prove that everybody is here for a reason. There is also a movie on HBO sometimes called Un Dia Sin Mexicanos that I think that everybody in the world should see at some point in their lives....it means "One day without Mexicans" you would learn quick that we couldn't survive so well without them.

Drunk ass ppl are something I don't want to deal with anytime. I was not implying that YOU were that way, it was only a question, because to me it is a very important subject. I just get so mad sometimes when my friends call me and say that there were mexicans at the bars hitting on them. And that is the same thing that I tell them....Well, DUH. What do you expect? The way that they see it, if you are a good girl, you are at home, not at a bar. LOL.

I have no problem with Mexicans working here. The problem that I have is that they should have to learn our language, not for us to learn Spanish. In this country, English is our language. (not the bullcrap text language spoken on topix or our new national language...Ebonics)

The following information can be verified by the Newport Economic Development Commission. First, in a legal settlement the building that housed SSP and ACP was given to SSP's parent company. ACP failed to pay its rent, utilities, and internet service for nearly one year. Several attempts were made seeking compliance. Eventually, an eviction notice was served. In addition, several businesses in Newport have filed claims against ACP for failure to pay its bills. Finally, ACP has been given 45 days to either stay in Newport or return $150,000 of grant money awarded to it. ACP has failed to live up to its obligations and has hurt local businesses. Several vendors stopped dealing with them over failure to pay past bills.

That's a good point I worked there and the pay was no good and the amount of work wasn't worth it. Those mexicans think of money as a lot more than we do, and they work damn hard for it too.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Virgo

Unfortunately, this looks like being another difficult day, and, as Mars turns retrograde, certain people are quick to take offence or raise their voices. Make sure you aren't adding to the tension by doing or saying something that's provocative or even downright insulting. If you get involved in a shouting match it will be difficult to stop and you could say some nasty things in the heat of the moment.
