Thank You very much. I appreciate the support, and the compliment.

Don't worry, nobody on here can get me down. My shoulders and straight and my head held high. I believe in him and his abilities. Its going to take alot more than anything posted on topix to get me down,*grin* we have real problems to deal with around here!

lol missy do you really think that pat is gonna get sheriff what a joke. He has harassed everyone from keystone to welch to davy. He's been all over the county with his click it or ticket campain and basically pissed everybody off. you cannot even ride through keystone ,kimball or welch with out worring about getting pulled over for something riducilous just so he can write a seat belt ticket..in the past few weeks he has put on a big smile and friendly face just to get votes.. come on pat do ya think people will really forget.. how many counties have you worked in pat? all of them....or should i call you sherman... but mcdowell county is the only dumb county that will let you stay..let me tell you something you diffantly do NOT have my vote...anybody that would actually vote for someone as silly as you needs to have their head examined..

This is Missy
Not Pat
Not Sherman
Its Missy
I keep telling you, he doesn't read these posts, and I don't tell him whats said. If you want to say something to him, you have to do it face to face, sorry.

I guess we've already published every county he's worked in, so there's no secret about his experience.

And I'm sorry if you choose not to follow the LAW and wear your seatbelt. Are you mad about a seatbelt ticket? You know, he's brought thousands of dollars into the county using the "click it or ticket" grant. If you ever talked to him about it, he'd tell you how much he's learned about how beneficial it is to wear a seatbelt. How many lives can be saved.

If you choose to vote for someone else, that's your right as an American, but you don't have to bash him for his efforts to make this county better.

Also, he is smiling and campaigning and telling everyone he can what he thinks will work to better the county we live in...while he's off duty. That doesn't change the efforts he puts in while he's on duty though. You should still remember to follow the law, that part doesn't change about him, election or no election.

You must be a high ranking official to have already heard the 911 tapes, but obviously one who Didn't participate in the search since you don't know the real story.
The ad in The Welch Daily News was a candidate profile, which generally will state family facts, education and experience, and touches on the platform he plans to run his campaign on; which his did. My degree is in marketing, they actually teach this kind of thing. More ads to come, keep watching.
In the meanwhile, you may want to look up the word propaganda, and I agree the people in this county are smart enough to understand the difference. I believe in the power of the people in this county, I believe they want to feel safe when they leave thier homes, and I believe they want someone who works as much a my husband, is a knowledgable as he is (his degree is in crimimal justice), and wants a safe place to raise our children in as he does.
My motto on this one is "Bring on the Truth".
I think your husband is an honest, down to earth, good guy. I have been pulled over by him and while he wrote the ticket, I could just tell he was a nice guy. He does his job right. I support him 100 percent. Go McKinny!

Out of curiosity how many felony cases has Pat arrested this year?

How many has the other camp?

Who is running in the other camp?

Since this thread has turned into a campaign lets at least do it right. Unless, either side thinks that their numbers are too low to post.

Keep in mind I am talking about felonies. I don't care about kids caught skipping school or speeding tickets. I care about the amount of oxi kids can get in school and the amount of rape and battery I hear about.

Since this is me, and not him, I'd have to check on his numbers. Of course you have to take into account the differences between a chief of police position, a patrolman's position, and a sheriff's position.

Maybe we should also take into account the numbers that were successfully prosecuted. If you hold a warrant for a year, it makes it harder for a magistrate to think that person is a harm to the community.

And are we taking count of the felony arrests the whole dept. has made, or just the individuals themselves? Just let me know and I'll ask the question for you, or feel free to call S.P. yourself and hear him out.

You may have to call the other camps yourself. I think one of them frequently publishes his number in the newspaper, the other, well I guess you know how to find him.

Either way, I believe we should be looking for who could make more of a difference in this county given the opportunity in the NEXT 4 years, and I believe (although I may be partial) that S.P. has the ideas and the education, and the street experience to make a big difference.

Your right and I would love to take that into account. I have no idea who is running against Pat but I hate seeing elections where people talk about how bad the opponent is instead of how good they are.

And in no way do I think I need to call the other camps myself. They have been writing all over this thread I am sure. They are already with us. So lets see what everyone has to say that is good about their side now.

Ok, I asked him as he passed through between painting campaign sign, and leaving for Welch. He said he'd have to check the numbers, but he would guess about 15 felony arrests if you only count the ones he made from start to finish by himself.

We'll have to see if there is any other response. If we start counting assists, I'll have to get back to you. If there's any other camps out there with us *waving* Hi everybody...Your turn to respond. Me, I'll be off to Seniors night at MVHS Basketball game (GO KNIGHTS) as soon as the casserole comes out of the oven

So far, it doesn't look like anyone else is responding, makes me wonder if I should go on with more of S.P.'s points....

Did you see his school safety plan in friday's welch news. This is another area he plans to attack. We've let the drugs invade our communities. We have to gain some control over what we allow in our schools. We both have great respect for the administrators in the school the kids attend, but they need some help, even more than they're getting. Just go sit in an office for a few hours. He has some plans for helping keep our kids safe in the schools.

Maybe he should run his "attack drugs from all sides" ideas next. Have you seen the shirt?

Take the cash
Take the car
Take the house
Take them to Jail

Make dealing drugs not profitable in this county, and the dealers will get out.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Libra

If you're invited to a party or gathering today and you don't know whether to go, you should. You'll have a terrific time and you might meet someone who always makes your knees go weak. Even if it's a perfectly harmless flirtation and you're both happily committed to other people, it will still do your ego good to have a tantalizing conversation with this person.
