You didn't know this? I thought this was common knowledge! My grandmother always put Vicks on the soles of our feet when we were sick. And YES, it really works! And she didn't need a scientist to tell her. lol

Vicks is also good for toenail fungus lol
just rub onto affected toenail(s) before bed... sleep in white socks.... it may take a couple of months, but it works..... and not as damaging to your body as some of the oral medications on the market for the same thing..

If you read the entire page or any of it at all, you would have found out that it has not been disproven and has been touted as a remedy by The People's Pharmacy on radio as well as others. So while it hasn't been scientifically proven it hasn't been disproven either.

I tried the vicks on my toenails. It worked some but not that well. Then I tried putting a solution of 1/2 peroxide and 1/2 water on my toenails after every shower. It worked really well.

YOU ARE "RIGHT-ON" GIRLFRIEND.

Its also good if a girl has her "nails done" and gets a nail fungus; It really does work; my friend used it on one of her nails and it healed it.

Booger, you should try it, it might actually make you a nicer person. All you do is go from forum to forum causing problems. Thank God there are some out there who thinks about something except being an a$$.

Also, guess, what really works fast is soaking your toes in Listerine.
Rub butter on your toenails. Salsa works great too. You can also dip them in coffee, or make cornbread slippers.

My child is 18 months old and had a terrible cough all night tonight. I read the forums about vicks vaporub and tried it. It worked!! I rubbed it on her feet and put her socks back on. The coughing stopped almost immediately! I would have to say that it works and will continue to do it.

We need to get back to some of the old fashioned help instead of all this medication. It's killing people.

You're right, a podiatrist, informed me that Vicks takes longer to work than the oral medication, but it is totally safe and has no side effects. My husband tried it and found out that the podiatrist was right. I've used Vicks for years on fever blisters and pimples and it always works very speedily to heal them. A diluted version of one part Clorox to three parts water is also another speedy way of curing nail fungus. Soak the nails for three minutes 2 times daily in the solution and the nail fungus will heal in just a few weeks. Sometimes the old ways are still best.
