27 indictments that produce 0 pounds of anything. They might as well arrest high school kids for selling cigarettes to each other. These 27 indictments represent 0 amount of drugs taken off the street. The 27 people together dont have a net worth of $1000. The total amount of drugs and money that got seized during these indictments amounts to roughly: 1 vicoden 1 nickle bag of SCHWAGGG 1/2 bump of coke mixed with sweetener 2 fake X pills 4 Zaney bars 1 bottle of TUSSIN 3 stale cigars and an empty carry around safe!!!!!!!!!!

My tax dollars hard at work. Good thing the Weirton PD is there is protect us from a couple pot smoking college kids. We all know how dangerous those stoners are, sitting on the couch watching Comedy Central and munching on Cheetos. I finally feel safe walking the streets again.

I am thrilled anytime any drug user, addict, pusher is off the street even if it is for 1 night!
Imagine one pusher off the street just one night may save 1 person's life because they couldn't score.
Wake up people and see how many young people are dying!!!!!!!!

Well they didn't get anyone on my street. Off the record every cop in Weirton knows where the herion houses are up here on Weirton Heights. I have lived here 20 years and seen the neighborhood turn into a slumlords paradise and heroin highway. People have even knocked on my door in the middle of the night because they mistake my house for the drug sellers, it's been the same house for five years now. Are the cops that stupid? Are the cops in on it? Is the law that restrictive for the cops? My councilman says the helicopters I hear at night are getting these lawbreakers. He says if I stay in my house and mind my own buisness it will be okay.

Weirton, is 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh (except rush hour) taxes are 1/2 of those in PA, property values are less, Catholic schools cosr about $2000/year, it is centrally located on the river, 20-25 minutes to the airport.

Weirton is a great place to live. Don't let the people on hear, with nothing better to do than complain change your mind. Weirton is a hiddeen Gem.

Once the mill is down and the land is sold, more investment will come in, and new developments will pop up.

In these economic times, Weirton is the place to live.

The person complaining about crack houses etc, should do a bit more to get rid of them, like video tape them, and keep bugging the police until they get them out. Call the satae police or the FBI if Weirton Police are not doing anything, which I know if not true.

We always had drugs here throughout the "boom" days of the steel industry. We had substancially more people with more access to drugs then. However, today the sleazy casinos are easy targets for the low life crimminals to come to the counties offering the tugs a quick get away since a crook could be in three states within minutes. Notice the owners of these gambling joints are politicians and shady individuals. Thier concern is a quick buck , like thier burglar counterparts.

You want to move to Weirton????? I have TONS of videos of cops harassing citizens and breaking the laws themselves. They charged me falsely with NUMEROUS felonies and misdemeanors.... Until they figured out I had videos of thm falsely accusing me..... NOW they came to me and my attorney wanting to sign papers saying that they will drop charges on me if I agree to NOT prosecut them for harassment.
DO YOU REALLY WANT TOMOVE TO A PLACE LIKE THAT??????

I have mixed ideas about weirton cops. Although people on drugs can be scarey people - I wander about the police force.
I wander how many of the cops are crooked, break laws, and throw there authority around unecessarily.
The police station is unavailable - you have to call outside to get in to talk to somebody - it is like a locked up fortress.
Why does the police station have to be a like a fort and you cannot get in to talk to people??

I have lived here all my life and have had only problems with the pd not the people. I am a recovering heroin dealer/user. I have been clean for over five years and I can tell you the amount that the cops do know about would shame them badly. The are now little pricks we all went to high school with and picked on. Time for their revenge. This town is a good one. I have lived here all my life SO STOP SLAMMING IT ASSES!!!!!!

I find it interesting that the complainers of pd are out of town and have admitted to indiscretions in their lives. weirton is a fine and safe place to live. i believe you see economic opportunities in the future. do not be dissuaded by the shady characters who post on this sight.

I've heard of people being charged felony crimes they aren't guilty of and having to post insanely high bails, solely because the police dislike him. Fortunately, video evidence provedhis innocence to the prosecutor and the case was dismissed, but the police had the SAME video before they brought charges. In Weirton, it's all about who you know
