Eric Cantor has finalized the house schedule for 2014'....work 113 days, that's 2.5 days a week, that equals to $1589.32 per day.

This is something we must fix. For all the house and senate.

Melissa......You know nothing of economics. We are a nation of part time jobs. Unemployment that has been over 7% during his 5 years. Instead of working on our economy, Obama was worried about his healthcare. He should have repealed NAFTA and the Free Trade Agreement. Reformed our tarrifs to help bring industrial jobs back. Jobs mean a firm tax base to do programs. There would be less people on public assistance. So there would be more money freed up. When you send jobs away then you send money away. But this would be doing the right thing and it is not apart of his socialist program. You would need less government. Plus you would not need such a healthcare, because people are working and paying for their insurance.

i don't know anything about those 2 states, please enlighten me.

overall, the country's public education system sucks. why else are we so far behind the rest of the world in terms of being educated? i mean, aren't we supposed to be the most developed country in the world??

We need to limit terms and a pay cut across the board. If the government is shut down then they should not get a penny of there money if anything we should charge them all a fine for each day we are shut down. I bet they would pick up there big boy pants and do some work if we charged them.

really??
the pipeline isn't going to provide long term jobs (50 or so) and it's impacts on the environment are going to be vast. i think we've done enough harm to our environment. if we keep abusing mother nature, she will either die or turn on us.

there will be jobs when they build the thing (about 2 years) but after that is finished the jobs will disappear for the average american...

beautiful mind......Obama's drones kill without a conscience. They do not determine child or adult. It saves troops lives but is only a computer driven machine. As far as troops killing what you call innocents. It is a casualty of war. Again you do not know who is and not a terrorist. They have used kids in the past. I would shoot a kid in the face in a hostal territory so I could go home in one piece. I know you think this is cruel. But they brought this among themselves for using kids to further their cause. Like I have said, they have the power to end this.

We could do it tomorrow. It's the easiest solve ever. Raise minimum wage to Obama's proposed figure ($12) and - instantly - 60 percent of the food stamp rolls are removed.

You dumbasses bitch about food stamps, then try to CUT minimum wage, despite the obvious - PEOPLE ARE ON FOOD STAMPS BECAUSE THEY MAKE MINIMUM WAGE.

More tea bag logic.

We need less government? Who Is The Smallest Government Spender Since Eisenhower? Would You Believe It's Barack Obama?
We need to do away with corporate welfare, do away with Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy. AND above all, we need a working government which we don't have now.

No one is cutting minimum wage. The economy cannot support a mandated minimum wage hike right now.

Today, the splintered and powerless GOP gets even more splintered and powerless. The tea party has caused the loss of another GOP governor. In Virginia, the land of "Governor Ultrasound," the tea baggers passed a bill that forces doctors to jam a stick in womens' vaginas if they seek to terminate a pregnancy. Needless to say, that cost the GOP their most powerful state office. Women are polling at 75 percent for the democrat candidate, Terry McCauliffe.

Let's just say that the women of Virginia ARE NOT 75 PERCENT DEMOCRATS. They're punishing ignorance. And they do it so well. Ask Romney.

No it wouldn't. Even the Candadian company admits it won't create more than 100 jobs after construction. However, it will spill and leak. Their company has a catastrophic safety record, and there has never been a pipeline that didn't burst. Ever. The tar sands oil is also the dirtiest oil on the planet and the most difficult to clean up because its mix is so soil-laden. It will burst in our heartland. For 35 jobs.

But it isn't gonna happen. Even ex-executives for the company have gone on the record saying it's a bad idea. It also is expected to have NO INFLUENCE on oil or gas prices whatsoever.

The tea bag GOP have introduced no less than THREE house bills to eliminate the federal minimum wage since 2004.

Raising minimum wage INCREASES spendable income, CREATING revenue. "The economy can't handle it" is a tea bag statement. EVERYTIME minimum wage has been raised, it has directly led to an uptick in economy and DID NOT CONTRIBUTE TO INFLATION. There isn't s shred of non-teabag evidence that suggests raising minimum wage has ANYTHING BUT positive impacts on the overall economy.

You guys and your unsubstantiated statements that you made up or passed along based on your anecdotal bullshit (I saw at the grocery store...) IS THE REASON WHY YOU HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM POWER AND MOCKED. Jesus, learn a goddamn lesson already. Sheesh.
