Having worked in many steel mills since 1970, while working on the railroad, change is a hard thing to take for many people . I moved 12 times since 1970 following the job, and this was the only way for me to get my credits for a retirement. While this was hard, I made the choice that to survive I had to deal with changes. Funny thing is that just about every rail yard I once worked at is now closed and long forgotten, with one exception, Conway yard in Penna., moving was a real pain, but I did it to survive, one thing will always be true that change is always just around the corner. I got lucky, retired 12 years early and have moved on, the past will always be behind us and the future is there if you are willing to take another chance, never wait for someone or something else to save you, do it yourself, get out of Dodge and move on, thats why we live in the USA..

kudos to this thought provoking contributor...it is more than obvious there is no civic pride nor family values in a community breathing carcinogenic dust n waste. Streets lined w smut shops peddling flesh... Bottom of the barrel bars...."WV classy casinos" .. Poker parlors. Most ...socially aware and Interested in preserving quality of life left with their families in tow..
if there is such a thing as "people pollution" the residents of Weirton qualify or they would not tolerate the obliteration of biblical tenants

Don't know what wholesomeness there ever was .... Vegas it ain't ... Not even by the hint of someone's wildest imagination.. Vegas is a lovely place with many family oriented activities too b enjoyed. Adult entertainment is just that... Wierton on the other hand is a run down industrial ghost town on its last leg.. Don't think its any respectable families idea of home sweet home.. Look around there are several very apparent reasons why... For goodness sakes you have drug dealers and adulterers counted amoung your preachers .. at least two of them .. knowing impressionable children are being corrupted by a perverse crumbling lack of morality...
Weirton is a filthy polluted remnant of the past. A past that did not foster civic pride honor or duty. Or maybe it s buried under all that black soot, which permeates the entire area.
are you surprized

With the inundation of strip joints n hole in the wall bars n video poker joints in wierton r u really surprized, by the degenerate behaviors fostered by the environment ? Don't think anyone in thier right mind would think wierton is a family friendly place.
its a Mecca of degenerates
