I know for a fact what I am talking about, and who Im talking about. As far as anything Wanda Turner says, I dont put much faith and trust in believing. The NorthEast Humane Society dont even do pick ups. I went to their shelter in Jonesboro AR,and asked for help in rescueing a dog in Otwell, and his life was in danger, and time was running out for him,and all that they said on the matter was "We Dont Do Pick Ups"You mean to tell me that the only way the humane society will save an animal is if somebody brings the animal in? An animal cannot talk, and cannot take itself in to a shelter alone. What about all thi animals who are victims of abuse and neglect that humans create and reflict upon these innocent animals? If someone doesnt go to where thet need to be rescued from, then their safety is hopeless? But you can very well believe that if Wanda Turner, and The NEAHS finds out an animal is being abused and neglected by its owners she will most definitely take the animal,as long as their will be legal charges imposed on the perpatrator who is doing the abusing. So it seems to me that all the NEAHS is helping or accomplishing is getting convictions on the public, and not out to help and save any animals. Kieffer08

Contact the Northeast Arkansans for Animals (NAFA). I think they are more of a rescue type group, instead of just a shelter. It is all volunteer, no paid employees. They do the low-cost vaccination programs, etc. I only recently realized that these are two entirely separate organizations. There is a difference between the Humane Society and NE Arkansans for Animals.

They are always seeking volunteers. If you're not happy with what they're doing, get off your rear end and help them. By the way, are your pets spayed and neutered?

For your information,I am not sitting on my rear.I have saved 4 dogs and 2 puppies in the last 2 months.I also at the present time, still provide a home for 2 of the dogs, and the 2 puppies, and I have 3 dogs of my own.Thats a total of 7. And yes mine are spayed and neutered. So are 2 of the dogs I saved, thanks to The Animal Farm-Shelter located in Paragould, paid the vet bill to have them spayed and neutered, shots and wormed. So I definitely do alot already for homeless pets.Let me ask you, have you got off of your rear and helped an animal by opening up your home for shelter? maybe you should help out by becoming a foster home for a dog, instead of judging somebody you dont have a clue about?

She may be associated with both organizations, but I have recently been looking at animals to adopt and they are NOT the same.
The NEA Humane Society has a shelter off of Highland Drive going toward Lake City - I have been there to look at their animals. There are people who work there and they are open daily.
NAFA's is all volunteers and their animals are in foster homes because they do not have a shelter - they have their pet adoptions on Saturdays at Petco (been there, too.) Petfinder.com shows pets for adoption and HEA Humane Society pet and NAFA pets are separate. NAFA pets are not at the Humane Society.

Excuse me? Who is the one being judgemental here? My pets are spayed and are all rescue dogs and cats, I'm glad to hear you're are also. I stand by what I said before, if you don't agree with how these organizations are being run, why don't you join them and DO something to make thigs different instead of just saying mean things about them. They do good work.

Are you also aware that if a pet is lost, and taken to the Humane Society, that if the animal is not claimed within 5 days, that they put it to sleep??? Thats one heck of a way to save a lost pet. And Im not about to volunteer myself to an organization who puts animals asleep.I do not uphold for any shelter who puts animals asleep when its not an absolute have to.Would You???

Hey Can anyone help me figure out where this huge, gray German Shepard Dog came from? He is clearly someones dog, cause hes so smart. He came to our house last week, and with him are 2 little puppies. But they do not look anything like him. They are 2 females, black with brown floppy ears and are about 8 weeks old. I need to find who they belong to around Weiner. I am located off of hwy.214 by Kieffers Crawfish Farm. If anyone knows who they may belong to,please let me know. Thanks Kieffer08

I did have a German Shepard that I had to have put to sleep because a lady ran over her on the opposite side of the rode. Does that make any sense? But I love dogs and I was trying to find another German Shepard and you said he looks like a wolf well that shocked me because I had a Wolf Hybrid German Shepard. That was the first dog we ever had and we want another dog just like that so we can remember her by. I am not one of these sick freaks that tortures animals or kills them or anything else you can think of. But please contact me via email for security purposes.
