Great to know there are people in Deming willing to lend a helping hand to those in need!!! Good luck to you all---hope that you have many show up. My prayers to Mr. Barnes during this time and throughout his upcoming doctors visits and surgery.

Many thanks to everyone who came and participated. We had over 64 people! It goes to show that the vast majority of people are caring and want to help others. May Tuesday article will be on the pulling party and there should be a "thank you" advertisement in that same paper. Once again it was truly awesome how people pulled together to make this happen. Something good for a change happened.

Now that's the America that I know and love! Strangers lending a hand, and their hearts, to someone in need. Mr. Barnes, I'll keep you in my prayers along with all those that are helping you. May God bless you all for your kindness.

It's very nice to see something like this in the paper about helping hands, beats reading about assaults, home invasions, cops/detectives under investigation, etc. A real breath of fresh air.....good job Leeanna, and I'm sure Mr. Barnes really appreciates the effort of all who showed up to help, and for your effort in organizing it.

How neighborly and caring. People are downright good when it comes to helping out. Wish I would have known...would have been there. Good job Leeanna and all who helped. Mr. Barnes is a good man and deserving. Good Luck to him and his wife.
