When something as important as this is held in a closed session, they are hiding something.
Smells like corruption to me.
Come on County Commissioners, prove me wrong, put out the minutes. What could it hurt?
Or have you been on the phone with Jim Black taking lessons on bribery?
By not releasing the minutes, who are we not to assume?

Regardless of whether or not they were open supporters of Black, they follow the same ethics code (or lack there of). I've only been in Union County about 2 years and already it is obvious that Allan Baucom and his cronies have interests in mind other than what's best for the people of Union County when he makes decisions. Growth is good when it is properly managed. But when pockets are lined behind closed doors, proper management takes back seat to special interests.

Personally, I think Mr. Groome should sue the County and the Public Works Department so the meeting minutes could be subpoenaed and bring some possible light to these back room decisions certain county commissioners like Baucom are making.

Also, I'm hoping that my fellow Union County residents will hand the Baucom and his buddies their walking papers in the next election cycle.

Joe,you need to look back about 10 years an you will see on the commissioners level where the screw up was,I agree on the law suits, there are a lot of promises by All levels of gov that have put this county where it is now.But when the paper towns zone out business an commercial, thats what kills the tax base,if a contractor has it in writing for water an sewer, they should be burned at the stake for not honoring a contract.
