Who Hates wcmugs.com

I seen this site today and what nerve!!! posting mug shots of Webster County People some people arnt even in trouble for anything, I had a friend that asked for his Mug Shot to be removed and was told no because it is a matter of public record, I think we should protest this site... www.wcmugs.com needs to go down.

This site needs shut down worse than that one. At least wcmugs is based on fact and kinda offers a public service. I'd even guess that those of you that don't like it has your mug posted on it lol.

I believe when the West Virginia Regional Jail and Correctional Facility Authority removes a mugshot from their web site then so should wcmugs.
A lot of people that get their mugshot taken are innocent. Some get their photo taken when they get into a pissing contest with their better half and they only go to the regional jail for a cooling off period and are released shortly afterwards.

I have been collecting Webster County mugshots from the regional web site for 11 years now. But i don't think it is right to post them and keep them on-line forever.
I have over 700 files in my collection. Just from Webster. LOL (some people have been in 5 or 6 times each)
Some of my old co-workers, distant kinfolk, and good friends are in my collection.

I agree if you dont want your face on the site then stop doing the crime. That is the problem with this county the criminals have more rights then the honest working citizens. I think there should be more details about what they are in for so we can really get to know our criminals.

Me too!!!! Had no clue that site was there!! But hey, thanks for bringing it to my attention (and everyone else's in the world). Topix is a billion times worse than that site!! Well heres I am posting again. Personally I think that the ones that does want there picture taken off should be removed after asking for it to be removed. Most of these people are my family, my friends, my neighbors, etc. Some has moved on and forgot they were even in jail. Some has gotten jobs, a better life, a second chance, kids in there lives to become a better person. Sit back and think about this, what if the person that made that site had went to jail and I myself or someone that has came along and put her, his picture on that site for everyone to look at. Do you think its fair to these kids that they have to look up to there parents for whenever they get into fights just because someone seen there picture on the internet cause they were in jail? Would it be fair for the parent cause they walk in town and or drive in town and people goes by and make fun of them and say stuff about them? no it wouldnt be right at all. Look what happened to Mike the teacher. Look what will happen to the kids sake. Its not fair. Im just saying this cause I am friends with those that went to jail. They are looking out for themselves so there kids wont have to look at this stuff. Yes it would be great to know whos our criminals but still just think about it. thats all Im posting

Well i would like to say that this may be true but i think its nice to be able to have the resources to know that the person living next to me is a baby raper or a thief and that web site does not post any information about the person, just thee mug shot which allows us to look into what their crime was I think its a great service provided to our community and cant wait until they expand state wide then every county will have the same public service as we do. I think what you should focus on is not the criminal but the innocent people that the criminals hurt, the web site doesnt hurt people by posting their mug shots the people who commit the crimes hurt people when they commit the crimes, thats the problem these days people like you worry more about the criminals than the people in your community, only because your friends with them, seriously my mug shot is on there and I've turned my life around but I dont mind I think what they are doing is great and if anything wcmugs.com should get an award for their service.

I don't like the idea that wcmugs leaves the mugshots on their web site forever.
The man who lives next door to you, might have his mugshot on there, but the only thing he might of done was spotlight a deer.
So now you will think he is a thief or baby rapper, and the only thing he did wrong was to try and feed his hungry family because there is no work.(just an example)

yes and no on my part.
Some people use it to start crap about others not knowing the whole story.
so in way its good and than not so good.

well then people should help wcmugs.com by submitting info, for an example submit to them that you were busted for killing a deer out of season, or get involved maybe donate to the site so that they can have the means to pay someone to go through public records and list what they were arrested for they cant make it better unless everyone helps support them and help with ideas that would make it better for all, but in all i still say no matter if it was a crime for J walking or Murder a crime is a crime and if you do the crime regardless of how big or how small there are punishments for the crime and it wouldnt be fair if they only posted mug shots of people that got busted for drugs and of someone who got nailed for a DUI just because he/she is an eye of the community you have to be fair not bias people and I think most of you that are complaining are doing so because your mug shot is on the site.

WCMUGS is a great site and why should people get to have their pictures removed? It shows everyone around here what kind of person that they are and if you were arrested and put in the regional jail then you are guilty of something. Law enforcement do have to have a good reason to arrest someone. They dont just say "hey lets go arrest someone for the hell of it today." Dont think so. I know the person that started WCMUGS and its an awesome site. Keeping people informed on who the bad ones are in our area is GREAT. Keep up the good work. And I agree with everyone else, if you dont want your picture displayed to break the law.

Great idea about the mugs giving a description of why the person was arrested. As far as those whom have gotten their life back on track, the picture serves as a visual reminder of just how bad they looked. So hopefully they never find themselves in that situation.
