Ummmmm....no one's been arrested for drugs in the city in several days??? NOT TRUE! Try reading the police blotter in the D&C. Just because they don't have a news story on the WHEC website doesn't mean they don't happen, idiot.

Secondly, this is a pot bust. Not crack cocaine, meth, heroine, etc. Big difference.

Funny, I haven't seen any mention of ANYONE'S color or race on ANY news article. I can't recall ever seeing (ie.) "24 year old BLACK MAN John Smith, of Rochester" in an article. If you find one, I'd love to see a link. Are YOU smoking crack dude? As for a picture, they don't always have one to put up....for people of ALL races when they do news stories. Sometimes they don't have a picture for at least a few days.

You're a freaking idiot.

Ready to forget this ridiculous "city/burbs" thing yet? You're only making a fool of yourself. I'd rather we just comment on the news and disregard where a person lives or what color they are.

All of your postings are the same. It's like you are trying to convince YOURSELF that it's safer to live in the city. Someone is arrested for drugs everyday in the city, it's so common which makes it not news worthy. It's not our fault you do not have the means to live any place other than the city. If you tell yourself something enough times you begin to believe. Obviously, you have reached that point.

I think you missed something in the article. The guys also had heroin. I think City Res, makes a point of bringing up suburbs vs city because, alot of people do it all the time when it comes the city. He has every right to defend where he lives. Maybe not you but a lot of commenters seems to think there are no drugs in the burbs.

Trust me Irondequoit has there own issues that are not good, Greece has nothing to do with it. Irondequoit is the City of Rochester but smaller.

"Webster men nabbed"

For white people, they even use cool words like "Nabbed".

I've never heard of or seen a news story where the have "Nabbed" a black man.

Are you serious !!!, Greece has nothing to do with Irondequoits problems trust me. Irondequoit has been turning into the City for the last 2-3 years. As a matter of fact you won't see me on East Ridge Road at night in Irondequoit it's not safe. Greece has nothing to do with Irondequoits issues.

When the last time a big drug bust was made in the City???
They have all been from the burbs.
Even if there was a drug dealer in the City, he is selling $10 from the street, when the dealers in the burbs are sell $10,000 out of their house every day.

PS- stop deleting my comments. The truth shouldn't be that hard for you to handle.

If you've read my posts, I've said many times that the burbs are not immune from crime, and that drugs affect all people of all backgrounds. With that said, why should anyone "defend where they live", if the article is about someone's misdeeds. Esentially, you're defending their behavior. If someone from my town is arrested for drugs, I'm going to say "Good riddens", and not worry about "defending where I live". Do you see the difference?

Really, I'm just sick of this whole suburbs vs. city childish and immature debate. It serves no purpose whatsoever, just divides us all even further, and for many regular posters here, THAT'S ALL THEY COMMENT ABOUT, is what geographic location and what color the person is. WHY?!!???!?!? For what purpose, other than to be an A-hole, I simply cannot understand.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Sagittarius

You're in a strange mood, Sagittarius. You're feeling impatient and cross, and nothing is quite right. No wonder, with Mercury and Mars retrograde, under a Full Moon lunar eclipse! But is it necessary to be quite so contrary, so determined to do the opposite of what's expected of you? Try to sort out the problem sooner rather than later, then do something energetic and therapeutic so you can burn off your nervous energy. Then you're all set for a great New Year's Eve!
