Woody Bolinger's customer service was sub-par. He treats people poorly. I would not go to him!

Dr. Bollinger is just like that.. you have to just get used to him.. He is a superb dentist I have had work done with him for over 10 years. He doesn't have the best bedside manner but knows dentistry back and forth and does excellent fillings and so forth. I have had the same fillings for 10 years and still going strong, some of them without even any kind of anesthesia. I would def. recommend seeing him.

I strongly recommend Dr. Bolinger's practice. Dr. Bolinger practices conservative dentistry, meaning he tries to save the teeth you have, and doesn't do unneeded work. He is funny but can be abrupt, he almost has to be in such an active office. The rates are some of the best in the Weaverville/Asheville area, and if you want to have a good dentist at an affordable price Dr. B is your guy.

You spelled "plain" wrong. Unless you are flying in for your appointment.

I have seen Woody for 30 years. Does a great job. It would help if I took better care of my teeth myself....

Is it ever really "pleasant" when you have to see the dentist?

My wife , son and myself are patients of Dr. Bollinger.
At age 69 I've seen my share of dentists. I have the highest regard
for Dr. Bollinger.

I find him to be conservative in his treatment choices, friendly
and caring. His fee schedule is fair and honest unlike many other dentists whose goal is to peddle expensive and often
unnecessary services.

surprised to see these negative comments. i have been seeing Dr. Bolinger since 2002 and love him. he has a great bedside manner: happy, cheerful, knowledgable and experienced. he's done many filling for me. i am pleased with his work and his friendly staff.

Dr. Bolinger was the dentist my husband and I chose when we first moved to Weaverville over ten years ago. We both trust him, he does great work, and we LOVE his chairside manner! My husband has an ongoing 'contest' with him to see who's wearing the most flashy hawaiian shirt whenever he goes for a checkup. Dr. Bolinger does not try to sell us on the latest & greatest dental services that we don't need and can't afford. I guess those who didn't like him per other reviews just don't "get" having a friendly hometown dentist. I'd recommend Woody Bolinger any day to anybody.

Dr. Bollinger is a wonderful dentist. Conservative
in his treatment approach, honest in his
diagnoses and recommendations.
As others have mentioned his fee scale is
fair.
I've never found him to be disrespectful of
myself or anyone else on any occasion.
I too am surprised to see any negative comments
about Dr. Bollinger. He's a class act and a refreshing
change from the many dentists that fill their pockets
over-treating their patients.

I am so happy to have found such a wonderful dentist. I was recommended to Dr. Bolinger by a friend after complaning to a friend about two other recent dental experiences. He is careful in his treatments, his staff is very pleasant and he is a hoot. Not difficult at all.

Dr. Bolinger fired me as a patient. I am on a very fixed income. Because of that I asked the fee for teeth cleaning. I was quoted $150 and the receptionist wrote it down. After 45 minutes of work, the technician said she had no more time for me and that I'd have to make a second appointment. When I asked about the quoted price I found it was not accurate but would be TWICE what I had been told. I felt that I was victim of bait and switch and spoke with the doctor. He agreed I could find equal work at AB Tech, and billed me for 4 x-rays ($40). I later received a follow-up letter, telling me he would provide no further service since doctor/patient trust did not exist between us. How right that is! How can anyone trust a service that does partial work, quits after 45 minutes, then doubles the bill? I have found the identical work at AB Tech Dental School for $40. More correctly, it is Dr. Bolinger who has been fired - by me - as being an arrogant, money grubbing hack. Fortunately, the world is full of dentists. I recommend you look further than Weaverville to find one.

You must have had some really nasty, crusted, calcified, tarter-covered teeth for them to work on you for 45 minutes and only be half done. That's not their fault. They probably quoted you an average cleaning, then realized that you were way worse than average. I've worked for dentists who have had some patients come in 4 different times to get all the scale off of their teeth with an ultrasonic scaler.
