We are lucky to have one woman in Weatherford who is looking out for local farmers and artists. Tawni is facilitating our efforts by beginning a real Farmer's and Artist Market in the Spring.

After the city sold off our Farmers Market to a private person who does not allow us to sell there anymore, we had to take our goods to Ft Worth. Now, the city council has sold off the North end of our First Monday Grounds, which were deeded to the citizens of Weatherford, so it wont be much longer that we wont even have First Monday. The city councilmen are involved in developing that land into apartments which will become Section 8 low income apartments like the high crime apartments off the Interstate.

We are lucky that Tawni is beginning to look after us. If you have goods for sell contact her.

Gosh, hasn't the public market been operating the same way for about 30 years?
And people wanting to buy bad amateur art are standing around on Ft. Worth Street looking for something to take their money?
The city now is in the business of building apartments? And where are people who don't have the money to buy a house supposed to live? You make low income housing sound like the plague. Every town of any size has and NEEDS low income housing. I'll bet the city isn't even considering such a thing.
Just scare tactics.

We are lucky.
If I have "goods for sell" I will certainly sign up for a Weatherford College refresher English course in order to learn how to write.

You people really do believe that you are cut from some higher cloth dont you. Tawni is trying to help people in your community and you insult those people?

And while you attack Tawnie, The City Council of Weatherford is getting into "private" bussiness.

Why? We had little problem with crime until Cypress Village was sold to International Ministries and taken off the Tax roll as church properties.
Now we seem to need the taxpayers of Weatherford to build Sec 8 properties.

Who will make the money on thse?

Where?
Have the farmers been dumping their crops because they have nowhere to sell them?
clarence is right, that all happened 30+ years ago. We don't have the numbers of substinence farmers we used to.
Don't believe it's really an issue.
I know the "artists" thing isn't.

Not much, just $16 to hold the space and help pay for some advertising.$16 for a space is nothing compared to what we pay in Ft Worth and we can keep our things local

Lol, lol, lol

Sounds like she is taking advantage of those folks. She made it sound like she was helping.

16 per day for such a low traffic area is ridiculous.

Cant say much good about a landlord who would rent to an individual with such a negative and badly known notorious reputation like Tawni. Hope landlord business does not suffer and hope she never tries to run for a judgeship in Parker county. You lie with dogs, you get fleas. That is just how it is. Arf arf. Scratch scratch.

What is wrong with Weatherford people? Have you ever been on S Main St? You think it is a low traffic area? You must be part of the city of Weatherford government They think its okay to keep Main St torn up for many years. Maybe the State Highway Dept needs to take over. They have to be smarter than you, thinking S Main St is a low traffic area.

As for $16 for a large booth for our items you are crazy. I guess you have never created art and wanted to sell items without all the overhead of owning a storefront.

We are happy they are doing this for us and in the Spring there will be a lot of us and the backyard farmers can bring a little or a lot of what they produce. We hope to create a Communiity Garden together but that probably won't happen until the Spring of 2014. It's very exciting!

Have a good day

Let's put on a musical!
Oh, let's! It'll be such fun, and I'll bet it will be just the thing to wipe away the grey clouds and bring on the smiles!
Hey, pass that doob back over here, I'm starting to feel rational.
Can't wait for TM to blame Waymon for the red mites.

What is a red mite?

The only mites I have known were parasites, so Waymond Hamilton is a parasite, aye>
