Has anyone read the Parker County Today that just came out this week? Please someone tell me why they interviewed a crazy man that has done nothing but threaten people (Ripley wouldn't believe it). They must be having a hard time finding news stories.

You think what I have been doing by forcing the City to follow the laws of our Constitution, State of TX Statutes, and their own Code of Ordinances is NOT nice?

Perhaps, after everything is out in the open and they are either out of their positions or in their positions finally educated and actually running meetings according to their own rules, then I can BE NICE, according to you? Until I see no more malfeasance or nonfeasance I will be there every time they turn around. There are two that will be facing recall, no matter what happens over the next few months. If the other three educate themselves and then do as the State instructs, then they will remain. I really have nothing to do with the actual recall. I came into this midstream. There are several small quiet groups who are not exactly pleased with the actions of their Council. And, it may surprise you that they are not the faces you see at meetings. I just happen to be the one that puts herself out there for them and whoever else needs help.

My meeting with the Main Street manager went well today. I am hopeful since they have sent her for training last week that she takes this bull by the horns before Weatherford looses its designation. I will be working with her and a few other people. All this "waiting" is over. Either get on it or let the program go and stop pretending that the Historic Preservation Board is doing ANYTHING....they have nothing to do anything WITH. I do have faith in this young lady. She just needs some guidance and a little push. AFter all, if the program stay she looses her job.

Get a life Tawni. You act if it is all in your hands and your the great hope that will save this city. I think you need to get off your high horse and let it go. You do not have all the power that you keep boasting about. Why do you insist on causing trouble. I hate to break it to you but that council is far more educated than you will ever be. I am not only talking about formal education but practical education as well. You can not even run a successful business or run your own personal finances for that matter. Didn't your daddy bail you out of your house because you were behind on your taxes. remember I know your family and I have known you since you were little.

What issues are there that you feel Tani Maughan is wrong in pursuing?

Forcing the City Council to allow us to bring our concerns, which do not appear on an agenda anywhere because they are our comments concerning "our agendas"? Do you not agree with her and the Texas Municipal League on this issue?

Perhaps you were of the same opinion as Waymon H and Craig Swancy about us being denied our right to assemble as we so choose in our city and pledge our allegiance to our flag and to pray for our city together? Is that what you do not like about Tani? That she brought so much light to our rights being violated that the City Council had to face television cameras and reverse their weak ass comments of what would sound more like Atheist that Christian from two weeks prior to their "enlightenment".

Maybe you do not like that everyone in the city is running to trainings and changing policies and procedures after she had several visits with the City Manager to throw at his feet the malfeasance of staff and council?

Or, last but not least, you may think it is wonderful that Diane Daniels (puppy murderer from the Animal Shelter who created a horrid hostile work environment) has been allowed to draw full pay after being denied Works Comp benefits? Do you know why? Why would Ms Daniels be allowed to apply for workers comp bens which the City Manager signed as a witness as did the Parks n REc Director. What is so "odd" about the form is that eventhough Ms Daniels makes the statement on a legal govt doc that she was the Animal Shelter Director, working under Mr Blaisdell, Mr Blaisdell signs off as not being her supervisor and puts her down as Asst Manager to a dept working out of City Hall? Hmmm....I need some clarification on this but luckily I have a very good friend who is an attorney for the AG's office IN the Worker's Comp Div. Isnt that convenient? BTW, Ms Daniels, without even a high school diploma is making over $25/hour. Wonder what the staff members think about that since they have not had a raise in over 4 years?

You see, you may think that Tani is working all by her little self,(and no, you do not know her, you may wish you were blessed with knowing her well, but you have no idea to make stupid statements like you do) but there are far more at work here than meets your little eye.

Why do you keep attacking her anyway? What is your real issues? You jealous, feel threatened because of your position or someone's else's that may benefit you? What is it? There has to be something because if you oppose anything she has done and is continuing, you cannot be a Constitutionalist, in that case - we really do not care what you have to say.

The only hostile work environment was not created by Ms Daniel, but by your little group of volunteers. I've heard about all the calls the shelter received where people called them murderers and worse - this is your fault. You created this situation - no one else. Blame, blame, blame - that's what you do when you have no orginial ideas. Same old, tired complaints.

Is this about that overpriced society newsletter published by that former reporter for the Democrat? IT is not worth the price of the subscription. It contains a few selected articles about socially prominent locals and a ton of slick adds that are really what the magazine is about.

How would you know? Surely you wouldn't read an "overpriced society newsletter published by that former reporter for the Democrat" that "is not worth the price of the subscription".
You have a really bad case of the jealousies, don't you? Haven't you been granted the relevance and status you think you deserve from the fine folks of Weatherford. How long have you chaffed at being under-appreciated? Shouldn't your family be numbered among the movers and shaers of Parker County?
NOt interested in that part of society here. The Parker County Today magazine used to be more interesting and this new version isn't.

I have read too many rants by some of the same people. Parker County Today is a great journal. If you don't like it, then don't read it.

Rarely do you find up beat community news.

You must be an employee of the magazine. Most find it a tad over priced.
