Then don't pay the mortgage and have Obama reduce the principle and interest where you only have to pay 33% of your income!
That worked well for Petters...not.

Tom Petter purchased the original home that was built in 1933. He then demolished it and built a new 9,000sft residence in 2003. Thats why it shows he purchased the property in 2002 and built in 2003.

I think they should bulldoze everything and build some subsidized, Section 8 housing. That would be a real-world education for those Lake Minnetonka snobs.

Oh Bert I beg you - if you go please drive your beat up pickup truck, you know, the one that backfires clouds of black smoke - and don't forget your favorite John Dear cap and your flannel shirt.
OH imagine the look on the neighbors faces.

I'd do it in a heartbeat if I had the time... My job takes me to the Lake Minnetonka area and those people ARE snobs. I do anything to make their property values tank just because they take home a nice paycheck and that they feel entitles them to think they're better than you or I.

Wait a darn minute...I was at a party at this place about four years ago. We had a GREAT time...are you telling me it was all done with stolen money? I hope they get the guy who did this.

Dear Mr. Petters,

I like your crib! Id like to buy it but Im a little strapped for cash. I'll trade you a couple of my car dealerships for it... Could you take a few Poloroids of the pool for me? And I need to know how wide the garage doors are.... I sometimes have trouble staying between the lines.

Call me if we can deal
thanks

I'm curious about this part of the stroy; "records show Petters purchased the home in 2002" and "Built in 2003, the 1.2-acre property..." These statements seem contradictory. There's an inference made that they are asking far more than was paid in 2002, but it seems that perhaps a major construction project occurred in 2003 that increased the value of the property. Clarification would be nice.
The story says he purchased the "property" in 2002.

Check out the photos on Edina Realty. There are numerous pics of the inside of the house.

Just before he was served the search warrants, he had an addition finished. Everything over and behind the garage is new. 2 bedrooms, a bath, a laundry room all upstairs, main level is a mudroom and storage, and the basement was a nanny bedroom and bath.

Either you mis-read, and then falsely quoted the article, or the text was changed after you posted.
Cpopied from the article:
"...Hennepin County property records show Petters purchased the 1.2-acre property in 2002

for nearly $2.3 million. The two-story house, built the following year,..."

Both have been known to happen on these pages.

I'll have to run it by the sales manager first - sit down, have a cup of coffee and I'll get back to you.

Most of the wealthy people on Lake Minnetonka are jerks. My self employed mother cleaned their homes for 30+ years. SHE would fire them every year. But they would call back to apologize after two weeks when they couldn't find anyone they could trust or actually know how to clean. These people loved to talk down to her, added additional jobs that weren't agreed to and pick up after their sloppy kids. This snob mentality has recently happened over the last 15 years. Prior to that, most were awesome and generous. Also to note, most of these Lake Minnetonka snobs are DEMOCRATS. Cleaning ladies know EVERYTHING ;)

Capricorn

Happy New Year, Capricorn! I don't think the hair of the dog will help much this morning! If you're socialising again today, keep a rein on your expenses, as there could be a slight confusion in financial matters. Friends will be at your side and bail you out if there is a crisis. Use your strong internal discipline to accomplish your personal goals this year.
