The movie booker at Quin is twice as good as Keith at Cherokee. We still have to go to the Quin to watch movies that come out this weekend next. So get your facts straight before you start to hate.

The Quin Theater is as it should be, a nice, affordable, and clean theater. They have put a lot of time and money into the theater and as anything in this world; it's only as good as people treat it.
If you like the Phoenix cinema better, then go there, but don't knock a theater that's been around 30 years over one that was just built a year ago.

Looks like you struck a bad cord with some of the civilians around here. Quin is a good theatre for a small town seeing as how there's not a theater in Waynesville and you have to travel to Franklin, Asheville or Cherokee to go to a different theater. other than AMC theaters I would rather go to Quin. the only things they don't get are the ones that have a lesser chance of being a blockbuster. he's only doing what he thinks is right. so please by all means get off your high horse and enjoy the show.

To you it may not be the best theater ever but its sylva. There isnt much here. Ive lived here my whole life and sylva gets quite boring, and we are even thankful to have a theater. So get over it. It may not be the fanciest theater but atleast we have one. So stop complaining.

I live in Waynesville and we lost our theater so I'm thankful to the Quin so close in Sylva to see movies. They're reasonably priced, they have GREAT popcorn and drinks at a MUCH cheaper price than Asheville, have a good selection just a quickly as they do in Asheville and the staff are nice. I hope they're always there for us to go to. It has grown over the years and probably grown as much as it can so be happy with what you have. You could live in Waynesville and not even have a movie theater now :-(.

Maybe if quinn booked better movies they would have more business. Ever consider that? I dont go because the selection is limited to low rate movies and none of the top movies are shown. I would pay more to be able to go to the quinn rather drive to asheville , and so would many more people. Also, quinn's prices are pretty much the same as everywhere else, so those who say they are a bargain obviously dont know the price of theater tickets for the rest of the country. Go ahead., travel some and check it out before you make broad statements that are false.

The seats at this theater are uncomfortable, the floor is nasty and sticky. We drive all the way to Cherokee to see movies, it's a few dollars more but well worth it.
the last time I checked Cherokee has a movie theater so if you just want to complain about ours stay over in Cherokee

At least you have a theater, stupid Waynesville doesn't even have one, Go the the Sylva theater quite often, I think it's great, I only wish 2 things, they would have less kids and teen movies and more for adults, and wish they would have afternoon movies all the time not just in summer, don't like to drive the four lane to Waynesville after dark, glad there's a theater close by. Cheap prices and cheap refreshments. Thanks Sylva.

So why are you hanging out behind the theatre?
The entrance is clean and appealing.
Come join the rest of us at the front door where the popcorn smells heavenly and everyone is is well lit and welcoming!
