You bitch about not being able to afford a wheelchair and crutches but you can sure afford a 75 inch LED TV, among other luxuries. The only reason you would be sponging a wheel chair off the government is that you're too lazy to walk. Your third grade reform school sentence structure is showing again as usual: People think VA hospital is good? Duh?
Gosh "Gail", your memory is faulty! 95 inch TV, given to me by my sister. Selective memory. Had to sell it though, took money to get here. I'm glad you finally got a spellchecker though, pinhead.:-)

Zim was just a wannabe cop who should have minded his own business.
Just an asshole with a gun.
Circling back around to confront Zimmerman was a bad career move as well. Gangsta wanna be meets cop wanna be, the only winners as usual, are the lawyers!

America's educational system began to decline with the introduction of socialism, given impetus by the increasing involvement of the federal government. Lenin said: "Communism is socialism in a hurry." Socialism, therefore, is Communism by gradualism rather than by revolution.
"Democratic socialism" became the battle cry for socializing the United States. The goal was to "permeate and penetrate," then control from within. By changing the meanings of words, socialists concealed their true purpose.
This massive social engineering was carried out under the banners of "reform" and "social justice." They promote true democracy, humanitarianism, and, of course are "for the children." John Dewey, known as "the father of modern education," was an avowed socialist and the co-author of the "Humanist Manifesto." The U.S. House Committee on Un-American Activities discovered that he belonged to 15 Marxist front organizations. Dewey taught the professors who trained America's teachers. Obsessed with "the group," he said, You can't make socialists out of individualists. I take anything Zimmerman says with a large grain of salt. If he hadn't been out that night nothing would have happened. Maybe some day, he'll get his.

Look out the commies are coming and they're taking over our schools. What year is this? 1960?

The only scary thing you left out is the Boogey Man. I just cannot envision how all these objectives, or even any one of them, is hidden in arithmetic.

Common core is just the latest fad in the ongoing reorganization fiasco which has been growing exponentially for the last half century in the USA. Constant reorganization gives the illusion of progress while creating confusion, demoralization and inefficiency. The idea that hiring more ADMINISTRATORS (whip masters) will improve production among already overburdened workers allows the hiring of more high salary 'administrators" . The USA national average is 61 administrative and support personnel for every 39 teachers actually teaching students. By calling librarians, guidance counselors, coordinators of every imaginable area , etc -- teachers, the numbers revealing this disparity are concealed.
So the cycle of "The floggings will increase until morale improves" continues to degrade performance.
Common core standards are primarily in English language arts and mathematics. The standards are almost identical to the previously adjusted standards. The reorganization supposedly attempts to standardize curricula across states. What it really does is to allow the sale of different testing materials, different instructional materials, the hiring of more coordinators and generally creates business for educational publishing companies.
The problems in our schools are because of constant reorganization and dedicating huge percentages of instructional time to non diagnostic performance tests for the purpose of evaluating the system.
As usual, crazies in the NC state legislature have assigned hellish significance to the very program they have voted to implement. The NC republican legislature is direct evidence of excessive inbreeding among republikans.

Those comments made by President Obama were made AFTER the verdict.
"Obama issued a written statement on Sunday, noting that the jury had spoken and urging calm and reflection. Despite some calls for him to speak about the case, the nation's first African-American president had made no further public comment until Friday."
I am trying to understand this concern for a guy who killed an innocent kid walking home from the store. Shouldn't your concern be about the VICTIM in this case, and not the killer? There was no confusion over the fact that Zimmerman was responsible for the death of Trayvon Martin. The only confusion lay in Florida's backwards gun laws that let people kill other people and walk away scot-free.
. Huh. So, you're getting yer head smashed into the sidewalk, mounted and being repeatedly struck in the face by someone bigger and stronger than you, you don't fight back? You don't pull the damn trigger if you feel your life is in danger? I await your response.

Every time a new education standard comes out, the nutjobs whine about some kind of commie takeover. These idiots wouldn't know the truth if it crawled up their ass and blew a giant fart. These dopes have been seeing reds under their beds for the last fifty years. They're pathetic and stupid as hell, and you can't fix right wing stupid, as this forum makes crystal clear.
