Why have a town attorney if he doesn't advise the town board that such action cannot be taken in closed session!!! Why bother to have newly elected board representatives attend sessions provided by the state on what can and cannot be done in closed session if they do not abide by state statutes which are quite clear about such matters, and cannot be ignored by local government bodies.
