I would suggest you seek a mental health professional instead of asking questions in a public forum....there seems to be some anger issues you need to deal with.

As a man who has been there and done that I can tell you from my past, I wasn't looking for love or even a meaningful relationship with the other woman. I just didn't have any respect for myself or for that matter, any woman, married or not, who would jump in bed with a married man. I said I loved my wife and I'm sure I did. I guess it was move of a conquest, to see if I still had what it took to make as many women sexually happy as I could. I really don't know. Looking back on the affairs that I had outside my marrage(s), none of the affairs meant anything, it was just animal lust. At one time I even considered myself a "Super Stud". Did I have fun, did I enjoy myself, at the time I thought I did, using hind sight, I was a FOOL and my adventures cost me two marrages. Why do men cheat on their wives, that's an age old question that only the man involved can answer. Is he sexually happy at home? Has the fire burned out of the sex that was there when you first met? Are there too many things going on in your lives that interfer with enjoyable sex? money problems? External family interference? These are but a few of the causes/reasons that might cause either a man or woman to cheat on their spouse. IMHO, those who get married with little or no outside sexual involment or more likely to cheat, why because they always wonder if they are missing something(?) in the sex life.
Remember this is only my personal opinion, based on my life as a former cheating husband.
Do I believe that some people are sex additcts, NO. See all my reasons above.

Afterwards, did you feel guilty or feel that it really wasn't worth it? I've read that that is a common feeling. You said "former cheating husband". What did it take for you to stop? Do you think your age has anything to do with it?

Thanks for you comments.

Meeting and marring my present wife was a very big factor. Renewing my faith in the God of my understanding and being reborn in his love allowed me the understanding that I was being unfaithful to not only my wife but to myself and the teaching of Jesus Christ.I sinned against everything and everyone that mattered in my life, my wives, our children, my family, their families and the word of God.

Taking as many women to bed as I could was a challenge, a conquest that only a sick mind and a sick soul could embarque upon.

In the end the only thing that I proved was, there are a lot of dishonest people out there, just waiting to pray upon the weak and inexperenced.

I told so many different lies to woman that I accually begain to believe some of them. Example, I was single, I was divorced, I was in a bad relationship, MY WIFE didn't understand me and my needs and a whole bunch that even I don't remember. One of my favorite was to take my ring off and then explain that I was newly separted or that my wife had left me for another man.

I thank God everyday that I no longer have anything to prove. I now realized that I am a man and don't have to have sex with a lot of woman just to prove my manhood.

I am happly in love with the woman of my life, it's not a perfect marrage, but then neither are we.

I trust I've answered some of your questions. I wish for you, God's love and happiness in all that you do.

for the same reasons a woman would cheat on her husband, validation, boredom, for the thrill of it,stupidity, selfishness, reven ge,attention...you name it and it's been used as an excuse.Military men are especially hard to keep faithful because it is considered expected and expectable....almost a requirement, same thing with drinking and clubs.I actually did a term paper on the subject.

I like how people took your question and used it to air someone else's dirty laundry

Here is a trick trick to use if you SUSPECT your boyfriend or girlfriend of cheating. Take the strange phone number from their cell phone and then do a reverse phone lookup, and then you will be able to see the name and address of the person they are cheating with. At least this way, you can confront them with evidence instead of accusations.

You can do a reverse phone search here:
