You do realize how silly you sound, blaming a person's poor choice on Bush. If you are going to disagree (which is fine) at least do it intelligently.

Relax - the sarcasm in that comment was palpable for Pete's sake.

I agree, so what if that's what they want to do. They are adults and can make their own decisions. I guess when the gov't does not get it's piece then it is illeagal.

Got to agree with you Rogdbach.

Let me get this straight - They were charged with:
transporting and causing the transportation in interstate commerce of an individual with the intent that the individual engage in prostitution, persuading and enticing an individual to engage in interstate travel for the purpose of prostitution, and conspiracy.

Uhhhhhhhh - what? I like the last part: "...persuading and enticing an individual to engage in interstate travel for the purpose of prostitution, and conspiracy."

So basically because a grown-adult made their own decision, these people will get 35 years? Seriously? But if you molest a 5 year old or violently rape someone, you get 3 years in jail. Is there something that I'm not getting here?

"If convicted, each defendant faces a maximum of up to 35 years in prison and $750,000 in fines."

For setting up some "dates"? Come on! You'd probably get less than that for killing a prostitute. What as screwed up justice system.

What an oxymoronic thought, we are always being screwed over by the government and we pay them to do it.

Amazing...
Sex.

Perfectly legal to give away.
But when ya charge as little as a dime, it's a crime.

Like an above poster said....it's only illegal because the gov't isn't getting it's cut.
Just look at gambling....
Oh wait...thats legal in PA now, isn't it?

Weird!

Let's play match the crime to the sentence:

Crimes:
1) Vehicular homocide involving a DUI
2) Transporting women for the purposes of adult entertainment

Sentences:
A) 5-10 years in prison and $1,000 fine
B) Up to 35 years in prison and $750,000 in fines

Which number goes with which letter?
