Few Charlottesville types want to be told about how many of the bums, transients and vagrants on the downtown mall are sex offenders. The Virginia state police website has a sex offender registry that can be searched by zip code or name and it lists many of the beggars that local liberals feed daily. The amazing thing is that each of Charlottesville's zip codes seems to have several dozen of these bottom feeders.

I am the Mother of the child in this case and want to thank everyone for their support. The defense made me look like I made stuff up and dragged her through all this stuff for 2 years just to gain custody?? I have had custody of my children since their birth. The media jumped on his skirt tail and published what he said. It is simply just not true. My daughter and I have been through so much, I don't wish it on anyone, ever. Steven is where he belongs, getting the same abuse he dished out to my little girl, but 10x's more. He is dead to us, and my baby can finally sleep at night, knowing he is where he should be. She had so much strength to stand up to him, point him out, tell the jury of just a few things he would do to her, and gained victory all by herself, no matter how bad they made her mommy look. She is my hero.
Parents, please always ask your children if anyone is doing bad things to them, never underestimate people who you call family, they might just turn a blind eye and ignore what is going on right under their own roofs, for years. Thankfully this is one disgusting, dirty pervert who is off the streets!!!!

After review of the court records, misc. articles and the like, it's pretty obvious that this was nothing but a perception conviction due to the current events that surround the community. A sting from an online predator, a church director admitting to such a crime, etc. Nobody goes to a jury trial if they have a chance to plea down unless they are innocent. I don't know if Jehovah worshipers believe in the "god" they swore to tell the truth in front of in that court room, but chances are when their time comes, it will be ugly.

I'd like to see what "court records" the demented person from Staunton says they read. I was in the courtroom that day for 12 hours and heard all of the testimony including that of the little girl. The stuff he did to her over a period of three years or so could not have been made up. She was to young to fully realize that what that sicko grandfather was doing to her wasn't 'normal'. She will be damaged psychologically for the rest of her life thanks to him. Yeah, he hoped he could plea down and what he got was just that - because he deserved life! It was so obvious the defense conjured up their story to 'smoke-screen' the jury and the testimony their witnesses brought out was contradicted by the evidence the defense lawyer introduced! The jury took only an hour and a half to render their decision - they weren't fooled. It's obvious "she's a liar" is strongly influenced by what he or she reads and is quick to give an opinion based on that. That's probably why they made the uneducated statement about Jehovah's Witnesses, too bad.

He begged for a plea, just a half an hour before the molester himself stupidly took the stand and got caught in his own lies, sealing his fate. And we turned down 2 other pleas before that!! And before ANYONE gives their 2 cents, this is a 10 year old child we are talking about, and calling her a liar is about as low as you can go, but like at the trial, they reached for straws that weren't there and tried to make excuses for the molester in their family, makes me vomit. Those who balk at my statements need to understand that the truth really does set you free, and if it weren't for those jury members, and all the investigating, then this disgusting excuse for a man would still be preying on little girls. "Innocent" people take LIE DETECTOR TESTS, hmm, wonder why he didn't if he was so "innocent", bah! Unlike most parents, I did not just, "let it go" or ignore the accusations she made. I hear so many stories about people who never tell. Its plainly obvious that the uneducated misfits who replied to this blog negatively are obviously members of this monsters family. What I like about the filth from SHE'S A LIAR, my husband was in the courtroom the entire time and got to hear the blatant lies that came from her own father, that he himself knew were lies since he has been in our lives!!! Pretty sad that he was such a lowlife that he didn't even attempt to defend his own daughter. He should be locked up too, oh I forgot, he will be, for growing hallucinating mushrooms out of his apartment! I'm glad my daughter has found her justice and hope that nobody else has to deal with such trash as the people involved with this baby-toucher. No sleepless nights for us!

Hang him and put the mom in jail for allowing this to go on. She knew, or should have known, and no excuse from her will make me change my mind. If this happened to my daughter, I would know about it. I guarantee it.

And the judge that "allowed him" only 18 years? He is a punk, too.

I bet that the mother of this child who left the little girl for years is no genious with letters after her name and title on her business card! It is more than a coincidence that these allegations surfaced years later and days after a question of custody was raised?!?

I have read several articles from Charlottesville, Waynesboro and Staunton media sources as well as court records. It appears this "mother" had either a husband or significant other that fathered another child prior to the little girl. Next she had the husband that fathered the little girl. Now shes married again but I don't know about more kids through that marriage. OK, all together now, "dysfunctional", at best. Now, not that I agree with all of "Shes A Liar's" comments above, but the "perception" reference seems to hold water considering all of the admitted and red-handed abuse cases that are currently being broadcast by all media outlets in the Shenandoah Valley. Further, for the mother to be on the winning side of this case and then going onto various media outlet message boards bragging about it is pretty pathetic. And she has the audacity to call someone posting here "filth"?

Go on with your dysfunctional life woman and pray you don't end up behind bars yourself!!
