ONE SUSPECTS that prisons in Vermont are very preferable to prisons in Virginia. Virginians tend to forget the incarcerated (although Jesus said to visit and care for prisoners 'as if they were Jesus himself' (Matthew 25). In fact, we've heard many Virginians say that if (or, let's be honest, 'when') prisoners are raped, assaulted, and abused in Virginia prisons 'that is what they deserve', and Virginians have spent little time to make prisons humane places where people can regain health (from addictions, etc), get education, and make a plan for after their release. We hope that Vermonters are better than Virginians about prisons and jails in Vermont.

While the prisons in Vermont might be more humane, Ken Miller's whole family, including his lovely wife and six children reside in Virginia.

There are few, if any, Beachy Amish-Mennonites in Vermont, so I am sure Ken would prefer being imprisoned in Virginia.

I am sure that Mr Miller would prefer not having to prison period, but he is the one who chose to violate the law which put his butt in this predicament in the first place.

Lisa Miller screws up yet another life in the alleged name of God.
