Recently here in the usa there is an epidemic of illegal searches by the police. I'm sure it is happening here in wayne county also. I urge each and everyone of you to please, in your spare time, to google 'know your civil rights', study them, learn them, know them. Sadly most americans dont have a clue as to their rights. The police know this and use this to their advantage. I do not have a vendetta against the police, I just want us all to know our rights so that we know where we stand. please dont let this great nation of ours bc a police state like china. Otherwise all the brave men and women in our history and today who have fought and died for these rights would have been in vain if we let these rights slip through our fingers and be abused by crooked police. Again I beg of you, in your spare time, goggle, 'know your civil rights', and know them. Thats the strongest weapon we have against these police who seem to think that our rights are only words on paper.

Absolutely we need to all be aware of our civil rights, however once they have been violated its hell to receive justice! So If u r in jail and your rights have violated I guess u have to die in that corrupt ass place to be heard! Mr Sheriff Ric Wilson him self as secured his reputation as golden with all of his superior offices. I can give credit where it's due! He made a smart move by doing so before wining and dining the citizens of Wayne County into putting his ass in office to corrupt and destroy our once calm little town! It's important to know your rights but it's more important that the people educate themselves on who they put in office to violate them! If u plan on living there an value the ones u love and your freedom DO NOT allow this bully another term!!!!!

Going about my business and not running afoul of the law so I don't ever have to come into contact with these horrible people you speak of. Sounds like these people should be a great deterent to criminal activity. Don't want to deal with the sherrif, the jail, the courts, the probation system - don't do stupid criminal activity that will get you involved with the criminal justice system. The problem is people don't see jail or arrest or probation as deterents to crime do stupid things or drugs and want to complain its not the ritz and lifestyles of the rich and famous when they get arrested. They're lining up at the door saying let me in apparently but don't like what they find and want to get out. But then they don't modify their behavior to not go back. I wish these "monsters" you speak of would scare people into being productive members of society and not delinquents but even with all these horror stories people continue to do illegal things and continue to go back to jail. You can't have it both ways so keep up the horror stories and painting the picture or horrible monsters running the criminal justice system. Maybe it will make peopl think twice before engaging in activities that will get them arrested and having to deal with then.

You know I would totally agree with with you if ALL of the individual's that have encountered this issue were "hardened criminals" vs. Judge Ross exercising his judicial immunity to an unthinkable level or Sheriff Wilson exacerbating the problem! Obviously anyone that is facing jail time with the expectation of luxury accommodations is in for a rude awakening! However, lowering these things to a level that places ANYONE criminal or not in eminent danger is a whole different issue! You better stop and think long and hard about your opinions because it can come back to bite you and it will!

See my friend, this is exactly what I'm talking about.Your way of thinking is dangerous to the very society we live in. You seem to think that if a person has a run in with the law then that person must of done something wrong. This is not so in every case. I hope you are just naieve, and dont fully understand. No one is saying 'go easy on crime'. What we are saying is that the police have to obey the same laws that the average american citizen has to obey. The police are not above the law. They are to respect and obey the constitution of the united states, for them to abuse this, is a slap in everyones face, even yours my friend. All I'm asking is for you and everyone else to read, study, know, your civil rights. And one more thing you seemed to of forgotten. In america,'You are innocent until PROVEN guilt in a court of law'. Please sir, be serious about your civil rights, the way you are thinking now is not only dangerous for this country, its dangerous for you.

I agree civil rights need not be violated. There's just way too many people replying to you says the same crap whining about the sherrif, the jail, the probation etc. my response is to them not you. If you're illegally searched, seized, detained, or wrongfully not given due process by all means that's wrong. But you're not going to wind up hanging out in the jail, paying probation, etc if you haven't done something to warrant such and if you are have fun with your lawsuit you will win as some in the past have. My point is if you're not doing something illegal to the point of warranting confinement, you don't have to worry about the people they complain about or jail conditions. It won't be even on your radar. The problem is the pill pushers, the druggies, the thieves, the people who roll the dice and gamble on getting away with something and don't should stop complaining and shape up. When we get to a martial law state where innocents are being imprisoned legitimately it'll be another story. But honestly keep your nose clean and the cops judges and jails will not even register as a worry.

well we have reached that point! It must stop!!!!!! Even if there are actions that warrant being detained that does not excuse not implementing the policies in place! When you have the knowledge base to know the consequences of your actions or the lack of that is deliberate indifference!

Sensationalism. That's what you're selling and I'm not buying unless you give some specifics. What is the situation you speak of? Who are these people who have not committed crimes here but are rotting in the jail like the Hurricane?

So you're saying everyone in jail is guilty? You're saying that innocent people have not been sent to prison, even worst, exercuted? DNA has proven alot of people innocent lately, and alot of those cased later has been proven that the person was 'set up' by the police planting false evidence, even the DA is some cases knew the persons were innocent, yet the DA didnt care, he and the police simply wanted a knotch in their belts and to 'close the case'. Watch the news, there isnt hardly a day that goes by that this is not the case. Funny thing to, those Dirstict attroneys are still allowed to practice law, and those police are still allowed to keep their jobs. If anyone says this is acceptable, then something is terribley wrong with their way of thinking.
