Asking a question like that is pointless. Why not ask who all of the straight people are? The official estimate is that 21% of American men are gay and 22% of American women are lesbian. However, this does not include bisexuals (people who like both genders) and pansexuals (people who like anybody, regardless of gender). If it did, close to 75% of all Americans would be gay, lesbian, bisexual and pansexual.

I don't know about everyone else, but it shouldn't matter who is or isn't gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, etc. People are people. There are good ones and bad ones, regardless of sexual preference Asking questions about other people's sexuality suggests that you are either confused about your own sexuality or that you are interested in pursuing another form of sexuality.

If this is not the case, you should have no interest in knowing anything about who is gay unless you are planning to crack jokes at them. And in this case, I would think that you are secretly gay or bisexual and you are afraid that other people will find out. So instead of talking to someone about it, you hide behind insults and stereotypes directed at other gays and bisexuals.

I guess fear can be a powerful thing. It drives us, compels us, manipulates us and inhibits us in many aspects of our lives. Looks like fear manipulates Dissafoo, as well. Maybe one day courage will override fear and people will stop acting so stupid.

talking about gays, some say their born that way, some say that choose that lifestyle, this is what i say, i never been aroused by any man,and i have been with alot of women, if you have been with some women like i have you would never think about being gay, but to the point, DOGS don't even do it, so if they don't and their animals humans shouldn't do it, and all gays should be shot in the head!!!!!!

if being gay was a natural phenomenon, it could not sustain itself because the genes involved would soon die off because gay people cannot procreate.

that's why being gay is a choice and it always will be. now, pop culture tells us that any boy with feminine attributes is gay. kids who tease others for being gay are not helping. the TV shows examples that if you meet this gay archtype, then you must also be gay. it's all foolishness.

homosexuality, ADHD, and global warming are human made.

It is a scientific fact that homosexuality DOES occur in the animal kingdom. I don't agree with the lifestyle but have done research because a loved one is gay.

Factually, it has been proven that nearly all animals (mammals) have homosexual tenancies. For example, some male dogs will hump another male dog. Saying people would not be gay if they had been with some ofthe women as you have as much sense as a gay man saying you would not be straight if you had been with some of the men that they have. Your logic is completely flawed. But this is Waynesboro. Logic doesn't exist here.

I have one question to ask you, Dan. When did you choose to be straight? When did you choose this lifestyle? As far as I know, a lot of gays were that way since they began puberty, so you are wrong.

Wrong? Me? I never did choose to be straight since that's how I was born. I did, however, choose to not be gay though. If I am wrong, please tell me how a person is born gay, and it's going to take more evidence than "as far as I know."

The only thing I have been wrong about lately is how I thought your website was going to be useful. Now it's as useless as a white crayon.

You see what I mean? You're contradicting yourself. You claim you were born the way you are, just as many gays do, but you don't think gays are, because why? Just because? Why don't you admit that you don't know if gays are born the way they are or not. A question I should ask you is why you were born straight? Do you have an answer to that? I don't think gays have an answer to that either. You feel what you feel. You cannot control it. A person's individual nature is not something you can control. Just as you and I cannot control whether a person is an optimist or a pessimist is. They are what they are. And you are what you are. There is no changing how a person is.

Here's a much more interesting take:
At birth, the natural order is followed - feminine for girls, masculine for guys. There are acquired traits and there are intuitive traits that are passed along these genetic lines. Theoretically, you are born straight.

Now, the question: is homosexuality the body following the mind or the mind following the body in obeying a genetic deviant(term not opinion) trait?

What proof is this based upon? I can accept the "born straight" concept, but why is it so strange for people to accept that people can and are born gay? I'm sure if we gays could help it, we would be normal like everyone else. But I can tell you first hand, I cannot. I have never been with a woman and the thought of it sickens me. The same way, I'm sure, that it sickens some men when they think of having sex with another man. I know and believe that it is not a choice. Therefor, it has to be genetic. No other explanation around it.

I like how you demand proof, but you have none to present yourself. It has not been proven to be genetic. They're claiming that even looking for a gay gene is unethical because being gay is now considered normal. I think you have just thought yourself into it, much like a hypochondriac thinks themself to have different diseases. There is no hypochondriac gene. Now, the TV tells you that being gay is normal. I'd like to know why 10 years ago there weren't as many gay people. They seem to be coming out of the woodwork. It's because of 1. TV saying that it's ok and 2. people thinking they are gay because they fit the "gay" stereotype.

Born..
You're 'bridging' the gap here. At birth as straight:
You are not aware that you are different yet, as a baby there are not enough cognitive functions.
It is only after some time that a person may realize that their sexuality is in question. Most times the age is the teen years.

Dan..
The above also applies to your post. In some lifestyles such as 'Goth' the chosen path is termed as 'asexual' as in neither male or female sex. The choice may result from confusion in the recognition of sexuality and attraction to the extent of altering orientation. That orientation was not publicly recognized at the level that it is now whether accepted individually or not. Some people DO like to throw it in your face.

Personally, although I'm straight, I could care less what a person is as long as they are moderate about it and treats me or my family right. I think that's the bottom line for most people.

I, personally have had a boyfriend from Waynesboro 9 years ago. He was not gay, but we both loved each other at one time. Sometimes love is all you need, but the relationship failed because he was sexually attracted to women and I am not one.

This is why I think Dan's logic is flawed. I've asked myself why I am not like straight men and I why I am only sexually attracted to men. I have no answer. All I know is that I have never been attracted to any woman. In fact, the thought sickens me, like it sickens some women when they think of other women in that way.

I never chose anything. It is akin to instinct. It's just how I feel. It's almost as if people refuse to believe that people are really gay. They just think people start out straight and rebel against it. That isn't the case. If you're really gay, you've always been that way.

I feel like I would be rebelling against my own sexuality if I tried to be straight. In other words, I would have to force myself to be with a woman if I tried. I find no pleasure in being with women sexually. It just doesn't work. I absolutely would not become aroused at the sight of any woman, nude or otherwise.
