I've heard that the county is trying to get special laws passed that would permit Casino Boats in Clifton so many months out of the year. What does everyone think of that?

I dont think is possible. Without a constitutional amendment like they had for the lottery.
I havent read the lottery amendment in a while. Take some time read the amendment and see what it says.
Special laws cant be passed to bypass the constitution. Tennessee law (constitution) is very strict on gambling.

Maybe they're trying to get an amendment. But honestly, I think Casino boats would bring in a lot more trouble than they would be worth. Yes, the owners would suck up a lot of earnings, but go down to Tunica and drive 10 miles out away from the casinos and look at how well it's helped their areas. I would be against it.

I don't see what would be wrong with having casino boats

What if a long lost indian tribe came back retook native lands and operated the floating casinos.. Like Cherokee NC and Tunica combined.
