Why does the Vo-Tech need a gym? Why can't they use the gym at the high school? You can add a gym later. Don't you realize that the taxpayers end up eating this expense and all of our expenses have risen. We have lost half of the value of our home, more than half of our retirement. I work for the govrnement and have lost my cost of living and now it looks like I will have a pay freeze for the next five years and you want me to help pay for more school projects? If my taxes increase for this, I will definitely sell my house and move out of Chamb. school dist. and I would hope many others do as well. then lets see how they pay for it!

Maybe Steve Dart pays property taxes in the Chambersburg Area School District. I think Vensel lived out of the county. Padasak pays little tax in his small row house, and won't be living here when he retires. And now Padasak make it sound like it was only the Team for Change that wanted all these new buildings ... Unbelievable!

''Franklin County and area school districts work to fill needs with less revenue''

Translation -'how can we get the last thin dime out of taxpayers'...

'''When the Team for Change got on'''

'Team for Change'??? Is there any doubt left?????

I remember many teachers and school administrators wanting new buildings. Most said the new buildings would cut the staffing needed.

Maybe we really should begin to plan on moving to county-wide school districts. Each town could keep their own team/mascot, however there would only be one county-wide administration...much like Maryland.

referendum helped us continue financing for a lot of programs

We were able to pass a referendum early on for debt that has helped us '''continue financing''' for a lot of programs

'''You can borrow 2.25 times what the annual expense budget is. For us, it's roughly $225 to $230 million. We're near $175 million'''

Well hey -- max out your crdit card -- the taxpayers don't mind do they?

How much yearly new debt service will be needed for the Chambersburg construction at the Vo-Tech School?

And the District refused to give the teachers any raise this year or next ...

Why not go to a 4 day school week like they are talking about in Philly? Make it all 1 district like soemone suggested above.. Life would be so much eaiser on tax payers.. Anyway where the lines are for some of these schools dosent makes sence. If they woudl stop using twp lines for school districts and fire companies the world could be a little smoother

Stalemate: Its apparent that no one has had a conversation with you about local control in PA. Without local control at the small school district and township level, the entire state would fall apart and we would be taken over by the new world order.
But I digress...
