The Northern Wayne County Public Service District is asking for yet another rate hike. Be sure and stay alert for the PSC meeting date. If we all don't get out and strongly oppose the request, the Public Service Commision will approve the request. Our rates are already one of the most expensive in the entire country, didn't say county, that's right country! Don't allow yet another rate hike, we as citizens need to step up and stop these outrageous rates all utilities are asking for.

Well the town elected a bunch not even a mother could love. Take a real good look at the mayor and each member of the city council. Now that is called getting what you deserve. Everyone may complain, but they will pay up in the end. Need plenty of cash for "rent" and "benefits" becoming the Mayor and his motley crew.

I SAW IN THE NEWSPAPER THAT THE SEWER IS REQUESTING A BIG HIKE, THEY ARE ALREADY HIGHER THAT ANY OTHER SEWER IN THE TRI-STATE. AND FROM WHAT I HERE THE GUYS WHO WORK OUT IN THE FEILD DOESN'T MAKE ALL THAT MUCH MONEY ON THE HOUR AND WITH THIS RATE INCREASE ALOT OF THE ANGER IS DIRECTED AT THEM LET'S FACE IT, THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. WHILE WORKING ON MY SEWER LIGHT I HAD A CHANCE TO SPEAK TO COUPLE OF THE WORKERS AND THEY SEEMED VERY NICE! MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD ABOUT THE INCREASE!

Well say what you want but I don't see your dead beat ass out trying to become elected to help Wayne out any. As for the Mayor and his Crew they have done a great job. If you have a problem with the Mayor and how he does his job why don't you run for office next time?
THIS IS RAMEY TOWN IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT GET THE HELL OUT.....

I wrote nick rahall and he is suppiose to take a letter and any petitions to the public service commission. He told me the more people write and complain to the public service commission the better chance the rate hike has to fail.

I have N.W.C.P.S.D. for sewer and City of Kenova for water, they both SUCK!!! It got alot worse when Blain Cyrus started working he posted a memo on our statements NO MORE POOL FILL ADJUSTMENTS and
alson telling no to use the thick toilet paper or we would be responsible for the cost of repairs to the sub stations. For the love of GOD please let me use Charmin TP Im the one who buys my toilet paper. And when we fill our pools it doesnt get nowhere near the sewer. He thinks he is Hitler.
We need to band together go to the meetings and write and call Charleston.

We all need to write the public service commission and our representatives. The more people that complain the better chance we have of knocking this down. We have some of the highest sewer rates anywhere!!

thanks for your kind comments but i cant take the credit for the notices. i have a board that directs what we do as a utility. in other words i just work here. besides if there is somthing you dont like about where you live, or your life, simply move or change. i am sure that would make everyone including you happy. being a miserable person isnt good for your health or welfare.

blain,

i think the board needs to be investigated by the state. someone is puting a lot of money in their pockets. we pay a lot more than anyone else and the money sure isnt going to improve the service. when they put the sewer system down spring valley it was suppose to be a little high at first then go down after it was paid for. this was a bald faced lie! the service gets worse and yet it gets more expensive, why is that? i think maybe wsaz should investigate this and bring it all out in the public. i bet someone will eventualy get caught stealing a lot of money. i cant believe if you refuse this service they can condemn your property. and why should we have to move away from thugs who want to rob us of our hard earned money? i think its the people causing the problem that should go, not the ones getting raped by the people suppose to be serving them!!

anyone who wants to protest this rate hike needs to write a letter quickly. They are asking for an emergency increase. This can be found on the public service commissions web site. The case no is 10-0634-PSD-42A. All of the information in front of the public service commission is on this web site. If nwpsd is so broke then Id like a criminal investigation as to why. These rates are so high already it should be a crime its self. Someone is puting our money in their pocket and I want to know who! The more people that write the public service commission the better. Please get involved. Go to the wv public service commission web site and look at case info. Then search case then type in the case number. You can also get the phone number for the wv psc and the address.

It looks like its too late to protest anything. Very few people wrote the public service commission in charleston, and northern wayne county psd was approved for a rate increase. It goes in front of an administrative law judge which will make a final order in december. I would just like to say thank you to the public service commission for screwing the people in this area once again! Thanks to you my sewer bill increased to above 80 dollars a month. This public service district needs to be investigated for gross missmanagement! But alas no one will do a damn thing, because someone at the sewer office has people in their pockets! Supervisors up their can have their driveways paved on our money, and we can be robbed on a daily basis but no one in this friggin state will do anything about it. I called Nick Rahall and he wouldnt even speak up for us. I know the psc doesnt have to do what he says, but he could have at least spoke up for us. This sewage system has been a joke from the begining and I fear its going to get worse!

We should not be forced to move because of crap the county or state wants to force on us like this. These people should be ran out of town by a mob with pitch forks! As it stands we either accept sewer service or have our property condemned. Even if we have a septic system that is approved by the state! Where is the justice in all of this? If this sewer board can not manage its money then they should be shut down or taken over by the state!

I so agree with ever thing you say Ray.If the right people came into Wayne and did some checking they would find where all the money is going. And from there just move right on up the ladder and find who all is related and whos pocket the peoples money is going in.This election will tell alot of what the people want. I just cant understand why Wayne is'nt growing. And betttering itself for the people.Where is all the money going? This is going to be interesting to watch this go down.

I dont think enough people will come together to do anything. Maybe people around here have more money than I thought. I have been calling congressman Rahall and the psc for almost a year and it seems like no one around here gives a crap. A rate hike this high should infuriate people, espeacialy since these rates are already so high. I dont get why more people dont try to get something done. This is why our country is in such bad shape. The people have just laid down and quit. I never thought I would see the day when any American community would just give up everything they have worked so hard for. This might not seem so bad to some. But it will get much worse.

Im starting to see more protest letters on the wv public service commission web site. Keep those letters pouring in and maybe we can get something done. When we are silent they will run us over. When we speak loudly enough they will have no choice but to hear us!
