I have two kids in ELE-1 in 2nd and 1 in 4th grades. I've been around the school for years as a volunteer too. The school was in bad need of change. The new principal is caring and wants to help the school, kids, and teachers. As far as her being 'mean'and hard on the students--she came from a HS with over 1100 kids!! Her maiden name is Ramey and she's related to some in East Lynn and Wayne-she grew up here. Give her a chance, go meet her, listen to what she wants to do for the kids. I really like her and think this is what we needed at the school.

I've met the new principal. She's nice and the kids like her too. She's smart and wants ELE to be one of the best in the county..that is more than the last principal thought of it.

AMEN! Yes give the new principal a chance. She will be the best thing that has happen to ELE in a long time if given a chance but she does need to clean house/or let a few loyal supporters know WHO IS BOSS first or she will always have trouble.

I've known Mrs. Bozeman for over 10 years and worked for her for about 5 of those. Yes, she can be tough but if you do what's right and stand behind the school, teachers, and kids you'll get along just fine. Some of her family are in law, and she knows the laws so she doesn't take much bull. She'll put her heart into the school and the kids, but she won't be anybody's puppet.

Update on the new principal..she's doing a great job. She got money for new playground, has taken care of the discipline, and is working to turn the place around. Doesn't play favorites too much--expects the same from everyone. She cares about the kids and the school and doesn't care who needs to walk out the door if they don't want to be there to make the place better. The county likes whats going on at ELE for a change.

My child doesn't go there, but my best friend's two children do. This new principal flat out told my friend that she was a bad mom because her son had gotten sick at school. I'd say the rumors of her not being good are accurate.

I don't believe you have the comments correct. I know the situation and that's not what was said or how it was conveyed. Our students and our school are lucky to have gotten this principal and I love working with her.

I think every elem. should be like east lynn the child to teacher ratio is wonderful and thats why the children that have active parents are a little more acceled than at wayne my son went to eastlynn for 3 yrs then i had to transfer him to wayne and he was 3 weeks behind on spelling and math and he was makeing b and very few c now he makes d cause the teacher has way to many children in her class. when the ratio is 1 teacher for every 36 children thats disrespectful to the children and the tax payers they need way more teachers and more room even if it is a new school. maybe they should have saved money instead of putting an elevator in they could have built a new floor or maybe the other field to put 4th and 5th

You guys have no idea what all goes on around that school. I am an INVOLVED parent and to have a woman tell me on the phone me that I am a bad parent because I couldn't come pick up my child is downright rude. I was told that I should be reported because I had NO way of picking my child up. That is NOT a principle. There are several GOOD teachers there at that school and several have made the comment that if she doesn't leave then they will. I do agree that things aren't as bad as they were. But that change was due to Mrs. Linda retiring. She was the rudest woman I have ever met and I think that her and this new principle would get along good.(Things were different if you were one of her picks) And I don't know how many "GOOD" parents are out there that don't have to work to support their families.....They don't have the time to go to the school and kiss this new womans ass like some of you apparently do. That doesn't mean that they aren't involved with their children.

Just wondering Who is Mrs. Linda? Was she a secretary or teacher? Why do these people get by with so much--just don't understand!!!! What is wrong with doing a good job for ALL instead of having picks and pets!!!!If I had one being mistreated I would NOT stop until I got them fired. People such as you are speaking of should NOT be around children-they have enough problems without adults like this.!!

I've never been on this site until today, and I'm really ashamed of the parents of the children that go to our school. The new principal is a good one. She's already done alot for our school and trying to do more. I work full-time and anytime my son gets sick I'm called. I feel good about the school and wonder why people around East Lynn find something to complain about instead of supporting what we have.

This is my sixth year substituting in Wayne & Cabell counties. I've been everywhere and worked for alot of different principals. The new one at East Lynn is very good. She likes the students, works with the teachers, and has an open door policy. Truly, the only staff that don't like her are the ones that want to sit around all day watching movies or walk the halls. If anyone has a problem, the principal tries to work with them and she doesn't allow students to bully each other. She expects the teachers to work with the students and doesn't tolerate things that don't belong in the school anyway. I'm hoping to finally get a permanent position this year and I wouldn't mind the 20 minute drive if it's at East Lynn.

A turd could do a better job than Rhonda Holland. She was the worst! I really liked East Lynn but she ruined it! It is sad really.

I just met the new principal..she's nice and pretty. I asked around and found out she's single too. Smart and pretty, maybe that's why some people are not being so nice.

I bet you are family or one of her kiss ups---maybe Kristi Baker. No one else would say that. Why did every good teacher that ELE got leave then if she was soooo wonderful!
Obviously you do not know Kristie Baker. She happens to be one of my friends and a great person. She does her job and and goe's home to the family that she is working to support in the first place. Kristie has no part in the drama that goe's on in that place. So from now on if you don't know what you're talking about, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!! People can definitely do without Topix drama.

Anyone who knows the new principal definitely knows she's cleaning house. I hear on a daily basis she expects the teachers to do the job and she don't like gossips or trouble-makers. Holland won't leave the school-can't imagine, and a couple of teachers keep calling Wayne so she must be doin something right.

Until this year I was one of the parents that didn't feel welcome at the school. There were too many people in the front office making the decisions while the principal's door was closed. This lady likes the parents and community to feel welcome and help at the school. My daughter had a good year and did better this year because the school seems friendly and they're having all kinds of activities for the kids. Mrs. Bosman wants the school to be better. There are school people talking and wanting to cause trouble but you just have to be around to know theyr not there for the school anyway. I heard Mrs. Holland left and now is coming back, that's one problem someone in Wayne should take care of.
