I'm voting. Crum is in terrible shape and we need a new school. Remember that a bond is a legal do unmentioned they have to do exactly what's in there.

I didn't think you could vote for this until December sometime. I hope people are not getting the library levy and school bond levy mixed up. YOU MUST VOTE YES FOR THE LIBRARY LEVY. We need our library to stay open so kids doing research or needing a computer do not have to go to Huntington.

Does anyone that pays taxes in Wayne County not know that Wayne Co. BOE already has a levy that does not expire until 2014. And a lot of it goes for salaries, but not to teachers or service workers. THE HILL.
**********SPECIAL EXCESS LEVY**********
Textbooks, materials & supplies-------$622,077.00
Heating,Lighting,construction & repairs-$559,869.00
Salaries & benefits----------6,133,682.00
Current expenses----------58,744.00
* Total School Board----------7,374,372.00 *
This election was held in December also, they have it right before the Holiday
because they are in hopes of everyone to busy to remember to get out and vote.
The only people that gets out that time of year to vote is the voters from the BOE that vote for it, not many voters that do not want it goes to vote no.
This is public information, you can call or go to the court house and ask!
We already pay to much on taxes. And they know not many people know about the Levy already in place, so they want to stick another one on top of this one.
Call and ask how much more your taxes will go up if this one is voted in? WOW
This Election is Dec. 15th, DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!

I'm 99% sure that additional classrooms for Wayne is in the bond. You guys do understand that a bond is a legal document, right? Money has to be spent as stated in the bond or else it's a violation of the law, they can't just get the money and do whatever they want with it.

I WILL be voting for the levy. I have kids in a school involved in the levy and more kids to go through the same school. You people should all put politics aside and understand that a bond levy MUST be used for what it states. It's the LAW!! Let the bashing begin. Lol.

They spend money at the board office like giving out candy. There's loopholes in designated areas so they use the money for "training trips", "training dinners", and other get togethers. I will not give Wayne County another penny until everyone on the hill is replaced.

If you vote for this levy then you will yet again be setting Wayne County students up to fail. Every last dime will be spent on paying off the debt the BOE has created. NOT ONE penny will spent on student education. It will go to county cars and athletics. This BOE has proven they cannot be responsible with tax payer money. If you vote no on the levy we get the money and the state takes control. It seems the only one who would vote yes are parents that care more about sports than education or BOE members that want to save their jobs. If the teachers of wayne aren't willing to back this levy then that should be a sign to
parents and other tax payers. Trust me not one teacher whose a good teacher will be voting no on this levy.

Obviously you've not talked to the teachers in the schools involved in the levy. I know of several who would be thrilled to have new classrooms, heat, elec outlets that work etc etc. I will vote for it. The money has to go for what it says. I don't know what part of that our people don't understand.

I guess there will be alot of real estate for sale once this passes because I suppose all of you will pack up and leave so you don't have to pay the taxes??? Ridiculous!

You may vote any way you wish but you are totally uninformed on this subject. There is no debt to be paid off according to the financial report published recently in the paper. The money raised by the bond must, by law, be spent on the projects that will be on the ballot as was recently approved by the elected Board of Ed members. The main ones being 2 new badly need schools for C-K and Crum

As for the 20k that it costs to maintain the field as it is now...the artificial turf will need a specific machine to maintain the field AND every 10 years the turf would need to be reconditioned which will cost an ENORMOUS amount of money. So it is not as if the artificial turf is going to be maintenance free and expense free. I agree that Wayne county needs books and supplies, new buildings ect. However, I can't help but think that our tax dollars and been misused in recent years. People need to realize that this will raise our taxes for many years. If you own a house of any value, you can expect your taxes to go up more than $100.00 per year. Yes it would be nice to have an artificial turf field. However, there are so many other things that are needed in Wayne County schools before this. I vote NO!

The only reason they put turf in the levy was to get the athletic support others to vote for the levy!!! Why cant you people grasp that!

They didnt spend the money from the levy that is still in effect"wisely" why the hell would we want to give them more.Im voting "NO" so the state will have to do their job finally. The state dept knows our students dont have adequate books but their not doing a damn thing about it.They want us the taxpayers to front the bill but we have been more than understanding with this corruption so lets see the ones responsible for misusing funds held accountable then we just might trust em with some more.Like this will ever happen!!lmao
