It is my opinion that if they do have more strict gun control laws that it will only hurt the law abiding citizens that have a right to keep and bear arms for protection and hunting. We all know criminals could care less about gun laws. Most are felons already and are not supposed to have a gun anyways. But they do. How are they supposed to keep them away from them. I want to keep my guns!!!

Never heard of that.

They may have disarmed some citizens open carrying in the middle of a crisis situation.

I guarantee they did no go house to house and search it from top to bottom to confiscate every gun.

Where ever you heard that from is not a good source.

You can look it up yourself. Its on the web.... Go ahead and research it. Its true. They sent troops around and was asking citizens if they needed any assistance but that was not the reason they were there. It was the GUNS. They were disarming people in thier own homes so I would not call that open carrying. I wouldnt be too sure of yourself"yea",untill you learn for yourself FIRST.

I SAY ARM TEACHERS. THEY COULD ROTATE WHO PACKS THE WEAPONS. AND THE WEAPONS DONT HAVE TOO BE ALL GUNS.IF you notes the real bad stuff only happens to people who dont have defense.IT is better to have a gun if you need it ,than need it and not have it.

Its not really on scene if you are home alone and they drive up your drive way. They asked if that person was in need of any assistance. Then came in and confiscated the guns. Them asking if they was in need of assistance was only an excuse to come. How would you feel if we were out of power after a storm and they drive up your holler and confiscate your guns?

Have you not paid attention to the amount of teachers on drugs around here? Good Lord, the last thing they need is to be trippin and blast away! Security guards, cops, that's all that needs to have guns. They need to be at the school and surround it like a freakin prison. Because that is all these schools are anyway.

We don't need all teachers having guns. First of all if we did that there would HAVE to be some kind of training for them. That would cost quite a bit.

Also, with that many individuals how long would it be until one of them left their gun unattended and a student got ahold of it out of curiosity? Accidental shooting?

Even worse, students know teachers have guns so they forcibly take the gun and do something very heinous.

WAY too many bad outcomes with that idea.

I DO think we need an armed Officer in every school though.

they need stiffer laws...and in order to get a permit they should have people take a physcological test...or maybe the stores or pawn shops should not be allowed to sell a gun with out a person having a permit and if they buy the aks or semi auto the store or shop have to inform the state or police of the purchase... I don't own a gun or know the laws but this was just my opion
