My boyfriend and I found a stray kitten outside our apartment complex a few days ago and after a half hour chase were able to finally catch her and bring her inside. We don't really want to bring her to a shelter, they are all overwhelmed as it is, however she seems to have a bit of a cold (stuffy/runny nose). Normally we would have taken her straight to the vet, but the fact that we just paid deposits on a new apt as well as the rent on our current one, we can't afford it right now and don't want to wait too long to have her seen. Does anyone know of a vet or shelter that would be willing to see her free of charge? She's too young for spaying and I believe too young for vaccines so we're not looking to have that done just yet, just the cold and possibly some Feline HIV/Feline leukemia testing.(We have two other cats so this is important.) The other stuff we can do later, after she's old enough for it.

I've gotten a lot of "call your local shelter" responses to this Q, which we are doing Monday. I was hoping if anyone had a name of a vet or shelter that could save me some time.

Thanks.:D
