Pittsfield schools will not receive building funds

The Massachusetts School Building Authority has approved $321 million for school construction projects in 15 districts, but Pittsfield's high schools are not on the latest list.

Why does every letter or article about Pittsfield end up with Melle and his haters arguing back and forthamongt each other, and the pint of the letter or article getting lost? Please stay on the point of the article for at least the first day. Then feel free to go nuts. This is a very important issue for Pittsfield and its kids. We need a real leader to make decisions on this issue. We presented many different plans to the Commission instead of focusing on one and sending that.We need to renovate the two schools we have, it'll cost less and won't be a monument to someone.The cost of one mega school is rising every day,the price tag is now probably close to $300 million. Can the taxpayers of Pittsfield afford to pay a large percentage of that? I think not. Let's get some good minds on the SBNC and let them go ahead with a responsible plan. We've had enough dreams and visions for a while.
