Charges likely after 5-year-old killed by 2 pit bulls
#1 Jan 13, 2011
I am so sorry for the tragic death of this little 5 year old girl and her grandmother who tried to protect her with her own life, from this vicious breed of dog. These dogs are agressive and people can call say what they want about them not being so. I don't trust these dogs, as my son has one who seems gentle, but never the less, I am still cautious when being around him. You read about attacks from this breed of dog in the news all the time. How many more deaths will occur, before some strict enforcement is enforced , to make the owners of these dogs 100% respondsible. Maybe muzzles should be in tact on these dogs when out of their own domain. Let's stop this before this happens to someone elses' child again.

Any breed of dog is capable of injuring someone, it just depends how they are trained. Pit bulls are so often portrayed in the media as being killers because the owner has trained them to act that way. These dogs are not to blame for this and they are certainly not a "vicious breed" as many ignorant people tend to claim. Even a chihuahua can be vicious, let's not be stupid. It scares me that people who are clearly so uneducated can pass judgment so quickly and worries me for lives of these poor dogs. The owners are the ones to blame for this tragic attack on the girl and her grandmother for sure, but NOT THE DOGS.
