Activists gird for fight over coal plant in Surry County

Dozens of square black signs have cropped up along the main highway leading to this rural town in Surry County, all with the same blunt message: No Coal Plant.

What does it matter if we get a little tax revenue from the coal plant in Surry? That money will have to be spent on our increased health care costs due to all the crap we will be breathing in.
