Sad that Shell has gone down hill so much. Pumps are found bagged - no gas - on Thursdays. And now bagged Tuesday. Save on electric by not lighting the sign at evening so it looks closed. Is there a credit problem? So we go up to the nice, clean facility at Kroger. RIP Scioto Oil.

Well Just Saying, it definately won't run on Shell now with the pumps bagged, will it. They're still bagged today as is the Main St. one in Chillicothe. Agreed, Shell is a better product. My vehicles run fine on Kroger's which I believe is Marathon, but I never use the lowest grade except for mowers.

But gas companies add different additives that are unique to their brand, that's what makes them unique. Might want to educate yourself on that.
As for Kroger, I ran it for about a year, year and a half, and I recently cleaned my MAF sensor and throttle bottle and couldn't believe all the black carbon buildup inside, so I went ahead and changed my plugs too, and they were caked with carbon. I couldn't believe it.
Needless to say, I haven't used Kroger since, but I'm about 15k or so miles into using shell and sometimes bp, so in about 60k or so miles I'll recheck to see if theirs any difference.

Yeah, I'll tear down my engine and clean the heads and intake valves manually every 50 thousand miles, got it.

Heh, a lady.
Dirty tanks=changing your fuel filter more often (if not clogging up your fuel line prior to the filter).

Drove by Scioto Oil's Shell on 23 near Circleville. Same situation. And no cars around it; not even employees. So sad.

Octane is not octane. Krogers is lower than BP in the same grade.

Shell gas stations in waverly, chillicothe, and circleville are now closed due to economic reasons . That was what the owner of the gas stations have said.

Look up Top Tier Gasoline and you'll see all gas isn't the same. Kroger buys whatever's the cheapest on any given day. Octane rating has nothing to do with detergent quality. Putting 89 octane gas in most cars is a waste of money.

I used to stop there every morning because it was so handy. I guess losing their mills pride business really hurt them. Sad.

Mills Pride would have nothing to do with the stores in Chillicothe, Jackson, Circleville and other towns.
