There's a story already on here about what's going on. It's from the Columbus Dispatch. Look under the News link.

There's a silver refining plant going in pikton somewhere. Stockmeister from Jackson has something to do with it.

There has been a refiner in Jackson for a few years, it's called Precious Metals in the old mushroom plant.

It's funny how most houses stayed the same or went up in value on the last appraisal and they lower it for them.

Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. The county is not able to tax something at 25 million that just sold for 5 million. The purchaser can dispute the county's assessment and they clearly have the purchase price to back up their dispute.

Their bringing the silver part of this plant to piston. I heard this from people who work for Stockmeister. Stockmeister owns the plant in Jackson. Its on the Beaver pike in the old mushroom factory.

By that logic,if I sell my house to my son for a dollar, that is what it should be taxed at. They were offered more money for this place and turned it down. This just means the poor people in the county will have to pay more to take up the slack. The rich keep getting richer as always.

It isn't logic, it is fact. If you were to sell your house to your son for a dollar, that would become a recorded sale and have to be considered in assessing other values. You may not like it but that is the way it works. That is the reason that foreclosed homes hurt values of other properties.

And whether you like it or not, the rich are the ones that buy empty buildings and put new businesses in them that employ the people that aren't rich. Enough with the class warfare. If you don't like the way the world works, go off the grid and live off the land. No one is stopping you from doing that. Just like no one is stopping you from risking everything you have to try and make a business work that could make you rich. Everyone can't be equal. Get over it.
