I feel very for the driver of the truck, and yes maybe they were all drinking, but the fact remains only one of them got behind the wheel of the car.

Yes the fact is one was driving and three other chose to get into a car with him, they made a choice to this..What matters here is that a young life was lost and many others left hurting including family!! To point finger's at who is to blame??? Don't really understand where you are coming from???....Most people will say all of them are!!!!

If you look the young lady up on Facebook, you can see that she posted a picture 2 hours before her death with an empty beer box in the floor beside her. If this isn't choice, what is??? It is very has the a young life was taken by so many that loved her and screwed up three others by bad choice's!! Maybe god bless all the families involved and the two men from out of town.

none of this matters right now, this girl was someones child...a mother is grieving,so lets not throw out all of these comments that may or may not be true...everyone should use some common sense and compassion, which i know is in short supply in pike county,,,and quit commenting and let this thread go dead........lets show some kindness to this poor family...shall we?

I can't believe the nerve of some people! wanting to know every gruesome detail. We ALL did stupid things when we were young. The situation is so sad. Now if you want to change things with other young people get out and donate your time, and get something started in Pike Count that would give these kids some fun things to do!

i guess my suggestion of showing some compassion and kindness was a waste of time...ignorance overrides that for some people.

It is very sad for everyone involved, didn't say one time it wasn't. People are pointing finger's and blaming one. I was just saying they had a choice and what is done can't be undone. My heart breaks for each and everyone of them.

This is very sad and heart breaking!! They were all just kids. When you are young, your first instinct is not "should I or should I not", you are care free, having fun and are somewhat careless at times. That's part of growing up, living and learning. I am certain none of these kids got into that car that night and expected this tragedy to happen. Even adults do it, who should know better, always thinking, "it won't happen to me". Regardless what prompted the incident, a terrible tragedy happened. These kids were friends and I am sure are not just suffering physically but emotionally too as well as their families. I am certain the young boy driving never imagined something like this would happen and regrets his actions, he is the one living with the pain he has caused others. Granted he is an adult, and should have know better, if alcohol was involved, and although he may not have been injured I am sure his soul will grieve for a lifetime. My prayers go out to all involved, especially the young girls family whom lost their precious daughter, sister, niece, cousin and mother. Losing a loved one myself in a similar incident, I know how saddening the heart break feels. My prayers are with them all.

The way I see it all of the families of this horrific accident need prayers, the drivers and passengers need prayers.. Why point the finger at anyone? I know in a time of grief everyone needs someone to blame, I say pray for everyone and their families that were involved.. It's a horrible thing that has happened and bad choices were made but don't point fingers or blame the driver I'm sure the driver will live a life of hell knowing what has happened, as will the families.. Just remember to pray for everyone involved not just for the one who passed or the one in the coma EVERYONE!!! There were three victims not just one or two.. Please keep this in mind before placing blame.. Thanks for reading..
