I'm all for folks gettin off dope. Never used it myself but come on, is it really fair peoples tax payer funded medical cards are bein used to kick the habit? I was on morphine for a month around the clock, oxycontin 80's, and percocet taking one or the other every 6 hours for 3 months and when my presciptions ran out I didn't withdraw I dealt with my pain of my injuries for which it was prescibed. Not trying to sound mean or heartless. Just some food for thought.

Ok, I'm full of it? Fool sounds about right. Try getting gutted twice and see what kinda pain it is. Like I said, I used it as PRESCRIBED not for jollies. I wasn't addicted. I'll be danged if I'm gonna be supportive of people using Medicaid to kick the habit when YOU made the choose to be a doper. Best of luck to ya.

I have been on sub for almost 3 years. When I started in Iowa I recieved financial assist. from the pharm. for 12 months. I am now in Ca. The first doctor I went to was a complete ass. His nane was Dr.(?) Vasquez in Pine Grove Ca. His office was like a drug dealers house. Not so much the apperance but the way the staff and doctor acted. No privacy no respect and his wife, who claimed to be a nurse came out in the waiting room claiming I shorted her. She forgot that her husband offered a discount because I was already on subox. This nurse also said, " We do not accept checks from patients on subox. LOUD. I overlooked all of this because I was so happy to find a doctor so close to home (20 min). When I called to make my second appointment I asked to come in 2 days early because cutting my dose down didn't go well. He said that the only reason I wanted my appoint.Early was because my pills were free because of midical coverage. WHAT?????? He also said he didn't want to hear about depression.

sorry it's so long but I'm not done. Dr.Vasquez also never made eye contact with me on my first visit but he sure was brave and confident over the phone. Treating people that need your service and help like a piece of shit is showing a complete lack of empathy. The good doctor is known in town as Dr. feel good. He will take checks from oxy patients but not people who don't want narcotics in thier system and are working desperately at it. He needs to be investigated by the people who lic.him to perscribe subox. I now see the only other the area who is nice but requires me to accept the 12 step. He Claims that I will relapse if I don't accept the higher power and it has to be god. WTF. He also says that I can drink a little but no smoking canibis. Again WTF? I don't drink. He charges 200 a visit and I recently discovered that I have to pay for my urine test and blood test(over $800) each time. Why does medical pay for oxy visits to the dr. but not subox visits??????????

You are a fucking idiot. Not everyone has the same experience or recovery. You don't want a nickle of your tax money to go to helping people with addiction. Let me guess, your are part of the "greatest generation".(aka a tea bagger) In other words you are an old lonely guy with zero empathy or common sense. Study the physiology of narcotics and your brain before you announce to the world how great you are. Why do you send messages on this site? you should spend your time reconnenting with people in person so they can tell you how ignorant you sound. I know!!!you are just too good for for all the weak people around you. by the way do you know where every cent of your tax money goes??? you might be shocked. Go to E-Harmony or somewhere where people will enjoy your ignorance and selfishness

Wrong, 30's happily married. No I'm sick of people thinking they are ENTITLED because they made the choose to use PRESCRIPTION NARCOTICS to get their jollies or had a"rough life". They made the choice to pay for and take it. I feel they should pay to get off it. Btw I'm sick of watching people buy cases of beer, cartons of smokes, and lotto with cash then pulling out a food stamp card to buy junk food and pop too. Guess that's an entitlement too?

I have been taking suboxone for 2 years and it is the best thing that has happend to me, I have been to rehab twice with the desire to stop using but it never happend. Then I found suboxone and i havent had a problem since. So if you are really wanting to stop using its the way to go. It is a miracle for me and my family who i have robbed and stole from through out my whole addiction. so give it a try its well worth the money.. I pay 300 a month but i would pay a 1000 if thats what it took. Cuz like i said its made me a better person that and Na meetings.....
